Fine, is what he tries to say, but his throat actually spasms, and the word dies before it's ever born.
Trying again, he clears his throat and carefully selects, “I can handle this myself.”
Or: Regulus Black, many, many cups of ale, a pinch of veritaserum, and one Sirius Black.

Not the smell of his skin fresh from the shower or the sweat of him in training gear. Not the sound he made when Katsuki dug his thumbs into the knots in his back and worked them loose. Not the look in his eyes after long patrols. Not the softness of his morning voice or the way he whispered when it was just them in the dark.
And the world had the audacity to call him beloved.
Or; Everyone is grieving Red Riot. Katsuki is grieving Eijirou.
There’s a difference.
