Summary
Shouta Aizawa is an underground pro hero. Taking a mission to go undercover in Japan’s biggest mafia was one of the worst things he could’ve done. Then he learned someone he thought was his biggest threat was anything but. Discovering what bound a big-hearted child to a life of evil was what turned this job as a mole into a rescue mission.
Izuku Midoriya, a Quirkless and weak child, had always wanted to be a hero, ever since he was a kid. With orders from his father, he was now the Rabbit. A well-known assassin for Japan’s biggest mafia. Saddled with two and a half Quirks of his very own, and a long list of sins on his back, he knows he’d never be someone worth being called a hero.
Then someone tells him he's worth something and it all falls apart.

For a second, Monoma’s scoff dropped, and to Katsuki’s horror, he could see some genuine concern poking through. “Kats, if you’re so convinced he isn’t interested in you now, you shouldn’t change yourself to make it so he is.”
Katsuki brushed him off. “Obviously I’m not gonna do that,” he said evasively. “I just…if I talk to him as me first, there’s just so much that can go wrong. I don’t want to stake a lifetime of friendship on some half-assed attempt to ask him out. Which is why I need data.”
Monoma and Shinsou both stared at him, speechless. Finally, Shinsou groaned and pulled his hood over his face. “They’re made for each other,” he grumbled, muffled by the fabric.

Katsuki has a plan to woo Izuku. A really good, fool-proof, definitely not crazy at all plan. All he needs is a disguise, some courage, and a whole lot of luck. -

“Kacchan,” he called. “I’m here. What’s wrong?” He could feel his heart begin to race once he inhaled the smoke, but he pushed that to the back of his mind so he could focus on Bakugou.
“It—It’s their fuckin’ quirk. Hit me with the smoke, and I—I can’t—“
“Easy,” Deku tried to soothe him. “Can I touch you?”
“Huh?” Bakugou lifted his head just enough to look at him. “F—fine. Fuck, I don’t care.”
Deku gently placed his hands on his arms, rubbing them with his shaking hands.
“I think their quirk induces anxiety,” Deku said. He only guessed that because after he breathed in the smoke, he felt like he was on the brink of falling apart. However, Deku had been hiding panic attacks for years, so it was like an average day for him.
“I noticed,” Bakugou grumbled, trying to keep up the tough act.

Or, Bakugou and Deku encounter a quirk that seems to trigger anxiety—or so they assumed. What happens when Deku realizes there may be more to the quirk than they initially thought?

“Who in the hell did you get in a fight with, Deku?” Katsuki demanded again. Izuku groaned loudly, ripping up a handful of grass and sprinkling it all over his face. The expanse of stars flickered in and out of view, reminding Katsuki of much simpler clear nights – clear nights when he still had this idiot beside him, but lucid and covered in bruises from bike crashes and tripping over roots, not fistfights with strangers.
“Does it even matter who?” Izuku finally muttered. “It was just someone.”
Katsuki looked over at his best friend, curled up on the ground with bits of blood coating his lips and blades of grass sprinkled all over his messed-up face. “I guess it doesn’t matter,” he admitted, “but I’d prefer you fucking invite me next time.”

Shit. Fuck—okay. So he'll be seeing Izuku for the first time in ten years in the next day or two. Katsuki can handle it. He can—he can be nice. Cordial, at the very least, if Izuku decides he doesn't want to have anything to do with him. Maybe they'll even pretend they don't know each other, just a couple of strangers meeting by circumstance.
Katsuki grimaces at that. He's a shit liar, hates doing it, and he knows he won't be able to pretend he doesn't know Izuku, that Izuku wasn't an integral part of his life for the first fifteen years of it.
I think you'll like him, Ochako had said, and Katsuki snorts. She doesn't know the half of it.

Warm fingers trailed his collar, then up his neck to his hair. “Your hair’s wet.” Then, Bakugou gasped. “You idiot. You actual idiot. Holy shit. We have to get you warmed up.”
Bakugou pulled Deku into his bed with a bit of urgency, pulling the covers over him. Yanking his shirt off, he then snatched Deku to his bare chest, and Deku really liked where things were headed.
“C’mon, you’re fine.” His chest vibrated as he spoke. His hands ran all over Deku’s body, hastily slipping under his sweater to try and warm up his skin. “Why’re you breathing like that?”
“Like what?” It kind of felt like there were bees buzzing in his chest. Wouldn’t that be funny?
“You’re scaring me.”
Huh, that was different. Bakugou didn’t get scared, and if he did, he never said it. Why was Deku scaring him? He didn’t want to upset him.

Except it’s different, with Izuku – everything is different with Izuku. There’s an invisible line that Katsuki can’t cross.
Deku’s in her favourite shirt, sleeping on the floor of her childhood bedroom. Izuku’s eyes are closed, restful. Her hand is resting under the pillow by her face.
She’s so pretty it makes Katsuki’s insides ache.
