He was left behind for good reason, the tracks took their last carriage and now Will weeps, surrounded by his failures, ones he can’t even gather the strength to provide a death of dignity to.
Will Solace is a liability. Too many fallen when he should have been able to bring them back.

Will can’t escape the guilt from his past mistakes, not even in his dreams. Vivid and dark, he’s haunted by the lives he couldn’t save and he feels he should be treated like the monster he seems himself as. But Nico knows better than Will’s guilt, enough to know that Will has nothing to be guilty for.

Summary
“Suguru, we can’t do this,” Gojo whispers.
“Of course we can,” he kisses Gojo again, and this time Gojo doesn’t enjoy it. He pulls away, dread pooling in his stomach, heavy like lead. This time, Geto pauses, stopping and running his fingers through Gojo’s hair.
“Baby, relax,” he says softly, “it’s not like we’ll get caught.”
Gojo can feel his lip begin to quiver.
Since when did they become strangers like this? Since when did sex become something to give the illusion of love? Since when was this who they were?
Gojo revolves around Geto, he’s intrinsically and cosmically pulled to him. He needs him like oxygen in his lungs. But it’s like Geto just wants to subdue him, to tide his hunger so he can have a moment’s peace.

Geto has pushed Gojo away as his depression consumes his life, but Gojo doesn’t know and it’s eating him alive. He needs and loves Geto more than anything, but he’s starting to wonder if Geto feels the same. He barely sees him anymore, and he’s afraid he’ll be left a part of Geto’s past. One night, he decides to push Geto for the truth, and he leaves no wiser than he entered.

“Hey, hey,” she says, “easy death boy. You’re hurt.”
“Grazie al cazzo / No Shit...” Nico grumbles, wincing as he moves. He takes a deep breath, and his chest feels free. A deep breath had never felt so good, aside from maybe when he got out of the jar, but even then-
Wait.Nico’s heart leaps to his throat. He’s wide awake now, his hand immediately going to his chest.
No bandages…
Nico’s eyes are wide and panicked as he scrambles to sit up. He pats his chest again, and reality settles like lead in his stomach.
No bandages.
His wild eyes look to Reyna and-
Oh, she knows.
“Nico, calm down. I’m not-“
“You can’t tell anyone,” he blurts, voice trembling. “No one can know; you hear me?”

After Lycaon’s claws viciously tore into Nico’s body during their escape, Reyna and Coach Hedge set about treating Nico’s wounds. In doing so, they discover something Nico planned to take to the grave. For the first time, Nico is forced to talk about the fact that he wasn’t born male, but in doing so he once more finds out just how much the world has changed since his childhood.

Nico’s heart stutters.
January 28th.
It’s his birthday.
Nico’s eyes fill with tears and he doesn’t even try to stop them when they fall. He just stares at the sign as it next flickers to the names of babies born that day. There’s a deep ache in his chest, a yearning for what once was even when he knows it’s not achievable.
He sits on the ground and pulls his knees to his chest, letting out heartbroken cries unabashedly because it’s his birthday and he wishes it wasn't.

As a young Nico runs away from camp following the death of his sister, he comes to the painful discovery that it’s now his birthday, his first birthday with his sister or his mom. He’s left completely alone in a random New Jersey town, hiding from monsters and trying to find solace wherever he can. But still, he’s haunted by the memories of his childhood that he still has longing to go back to his life before

But he’s never really told anyone, at least not like this. With Jason he didn't have a choice, Percy was short and sweet. But he knows Hazel won’t be that way. He knows she’ll coddle him, say what she feels and just… be Hazel. He isn’t used to that. That’s why it’s so scary. But he was to push through, if not for anyone but himself.

Summary
A post-defection fix it series where I entice Suguru back onto the good side with a traumatized Satoru!
After Getou Suguru defects, Satoru spirals and he spirals hard, only keeping himself together with false smiles and bravado. But that only reaches so far.
But like a moth to a flame, Satoru ends up on Suguru’s doorstep one day in need of help, which starts Suguru, with a little help from Shoko, down a path of self-reflection and doubt.
(I swear this will end happy, it’s just gonna take some time to get there!)

Aka. a 100k word canon-divergent character study/fix-it fic following Gojo and Geto from the Hidden Inventory arc through the Shibuya Incident arc based on two concepts: who is Gojo Satoru if he isn't the strongest, and what would it take for Geto Suguru to stay?

Summary
"I can't go on like this, anymore, Satoru."
His voice doesn't crack and neither does his expression, but to Satoru, it sounds broken and tired all the same; It sounds like it was heavy to force the words out, his eyes clouded by a haze that could only be bloodthirsty; It sounds like it's taking effort to keep himself steady, rational. Satoru wonders for how long has Suguru felt this way. The anger in his chest lets up for something more like grief.
"I know," He says, suddenly softer. "So just trust me, for tonight, at least. Let me think of something. Something smarter than burning down a village in the middle of nowhere."
