You snap your fingers, and a blue portal opens behind you. Three medical drones float out, each carrying a small, metal suitcase. They set them down in a neat row as you click a button on your wrist. The cases let out a small hiss as they open. The medical drones float back a bit before patiently hovering in place.
Okay, they’re not really medical drones. They’re part of your murder swarm, but they’re versatile, and their battery casings were large enough you could stencil a medical cross on their sides, so for today, they’re medical drones.

When Lilith answered the ad, she’d done so in person, and after you’d gotten home from a double at the Starbucks near the Village. Weird that she couldn’t wait, but hey, she had cash in hand. She was the quiet type, with long black hair and large green eyes that darted around, soaking in everything about your microscopic living space. She didn’t smile much, and she didn’t have much stuff, but she could pay the sublease in its entirety and promised to stay out of your hair. She seemed a little off, but hey, who were you to judge?

A steel pole shot down and slammed into Gar-Doom’s back, knocking the akuma to the ground.
“Forgive me for saying so, but I find it hard to believe you had a bad dining experience at that particular bakery,” a light-hearted voice called out.
Caline watched, wide-eyed, as a sleek black superhero descended in front of the screaming, writhing monster.
“Oh holy cow. That’s… That’s Chat Noir! The first one! Oh wow.” Caline was transfixed by the sight before her. She had heard stories about her grandpa, sat through endless debates between him and her Aunt Emmy about who wore it better, and of course she’d met Plagg before, but to actually see the legendary superhero in his prime?
Chat Noir retracted his staff and gave it a twirl. “It looks like someone needs a pruning.”

Some hours later that same day, Asuka Langley-Soryu walked into an Internet cafe in Berlin, accessed an anonymous remailer service and sent a long and detailed message to Kaji Ryouji telling him several things he wasn't previously aware of. The message contained a time and a place to discuss these revelations further.
Later that evening, Rei Ayanami walked into Commander Ikari's office and slapped him hard enough to knock his glasses off.
