Though, Adam thinks things might change for the better for him, when he receives a summons letter from the Princes of Heaven themselves.

“You don’t get to look down on me,” Adam hisses, scrambling to stand, to separate himself from the discarded limbs and shells of the prototypes. “I’m Adam, the first fucking man! The first soul to enter Heaven, the standard of what good actions do and look like.” He turns to the discarded pile, grabbing on to a piece and pulling.
A limb disconnects from a fractured body, edge still having the remnants of strings clutching to it.
He points at Mike, holding a puppet arm in his hand, the gesture mimicked on the false appendage.
“Calling what I did treason means I went against another person’s trust or confidence. But last I checked, you’re no person.”

Demons were such pitifully weak creatures that it was laughable. Not many could defend themselves—not against their peers, and especially not when it came to the Exorists, who were specifically modeled to kill such lowly vermin with innate bloodlust and hatred that could rival the KKK and the Nazis in their prime days. It was almost sad to see his people so effortlessly slain, but also infatuating.
Their pitiful cries for help that’ll never come…
Their screams of horror…
Their chokes of final death…
Lucifer loved it.
Or,
Lucifer actually acts like the King of Hell and allows no disrespect, but with problems of his own, he’s blind to the plotting of his downfall occurring behind the scenes that involves a certain radio demon and angel…
And his daughter making a fool out of herself throughout the seven rings isn’t helping matters.

Well, it has been for like ten thousand years– You know, the King of Hell, the Devil, the first fallen angel– yada yada…” He trailed off, grinning slightly, “It’s been common knowledge for a while now, or is it more difficult to remember things in your old age?” Lucifer joked, ignoring the fact that they were, in fact, the same age.
They stood in awkward silence for a while, probably just a few seconds but it felt like eons. Shit, Lucifer was supposed to be on his best behaviour, what if this was about the hotel– he might have just fucked Charlie’s chances.
“So…” Lucifer said awkwardly, breaking the silence when it had gone on too long, “Why am I here?”
