Summary
Lighter is an Undefeated Champion, the strongest man (after Caesar, of course) in the Outer Ring, but he turns into a mess around his proxy. He has won many battles, but he would always lose against Wise, hopelessly and with no chance of revanche. Every time his thoughts wander to the proxy he can’t help but smile, laugh like an idiot and ruin his plan of looking “cool and mysterious”.
Wise always acts calmer and more collected, or at least tries to, and Lighter always falls into the same trap time and time again. Ashamed and defeated he'd always drive long hours just to be around Wise even for a little while, stay up late to discuss the newest film and help with commissions. And he would lose all hope and return to his previous life, if only Wise himself wouldn't come to Blazewood so often, buy him grape-flavoured candy or touch his hands so often. Lighter hopes for it to stay like this. For those moments to last forever.

Summary
Phainon, the sunshine of Aedes Elysiae High School, has it all.

M writes with neat handwriting and fills the margins with adorable stickers or doodles that make Phainon grin like an idiot. Their exchanges grow from book reviews to little glimpses of their lives, until the letters they share feel like a secret world meant only for two.
Phainon tells himself he’s not falling for someone he’s never met. He’s just curious.
But he forgets that some stories don’t reveal their twist until he's already hooked.

Summary
Phainon always watched mermaids fall in love with their 'soulmate'. They twirled through the waves with stars in their eyes, trading tails for legs and songs for silence. Most never came back in piece. Some did, but they forgot how to smile.
His teacher, the sea witch, called them foolish. But Phainon was curious, wondering how beautiful a love could be.
Then, one fateful night, he found a human, drifting in a storm, golden-eyed with equally bright hair. Phainon thought a human couldn’t shine underwater, and yet, this one did.
Phainon saved him once. That should’ve been enough.
However, Phainon started to yearn the human again. To hear his laugh. To walk beside him, just for a little while. Just long enough to learn what love might feel like.
