Summary
Naval Officer Sonic the Hedgehog was trained to command the sea, not to be captured by it. When a mission to recover the Chaos Emerald goes wrong, he finds himself captured aboard The Maria, a pirate ship commanded by the infuriatingly composed Captain Shadow. Stripped of his rank and thrown into pirate life, Sonic is forced to scrub decks and wear their uniform.
The emerald he's been tasked to find is still out there, and Sonic quickly realizes something far more unsettling: Shadow wants it too. As the hunt tightens and enemies close in, Sonic is forced to work alongside the very captain who captured him. And the longer Sonic remains along the Maria, the harder it becomes to tell where duty ends and something far more dangerous begins. Because some forces aren't meant to outrun. And some captains are impossible to ignore.
Or, Naval officer/Pirate Captain with a slow burn enemies-to-lovers at sea.

Summary
After a tragic accident, Sonic, only 6 years old, was left to wander the wrecked streets of what was once his home. He was found by Dr. Eggman, who took him in. Although Sonic never really viewed him as a father, they were still family in a way.
Growing up, Sonic would often run away from home and cause trouble in the city, giving him a bad reputation and causing G.U.N. to start hunting him down.Shadow was 8 when G.U.N. invaded the ARK and killed everyone involved with Project Shadow. Maria sent him down to Earth before she was killed, and Shadow was taken in soon after, the commander deciding it a waste to kill him in the end. Shadow’s memories of the event were fuzzy, so over time, he eventually gave up trying to remember, instead focusing on his training alongside Rouge.
Shadow has now been tasked with taking Sonic down and bringing him in for containment. Though, it isn’t as simple as he had thought. Sonic’s speed and strength rival his own, and his actions are erratic, unpredictable.
At first, Sonic seems like nothing more than a complete adrenaline junkie. But as Shadow digs deeper, he starts to see there’s more to Sonic than just reckless energy—layers of complexity he hadn’t expected.- Language:

Summary
It's been 10 years since Sonic last saw Shadow, and in that decade, life had not been kind. He's stumbling through adulthood with no sense of direction or purpose, crumbling under the existential dread of aging, and to top it off, is suffering through an exhausting divorce process. Just as his whole world seems to be collapsing around him, however, an old friend returns... And might just be the lifeline he didn't realise he needed.
Now Sonic is having to navigate adulthood, heartbreak, grief and whatever these new (or maybe old) feelings are for his ex-rival. The strangest part is that Shadow seems to be the stable, emotionally competent one. What he doesn't know is that shadow is hiding a secret of his own- Ten years of feelings that he thought he'd let go of threatening to return.
This is a future-set Sonadow slow -burn where Sonic and Shadow reconnect after a decade of no contact. A mix of hurt/comfort, slice-of-life, humour, drama, fluff and spice (eventually). Themes include grief, romance, friendship, aging panic, unconditional love/care, and a flipped dynamic- Sonic is the one falling apart, and Shadow is the one who’s already healed.

Shadow’s legs move before he can stop them, barely closing the door behind him as he rushes over, kneeling in front of Sonic to be eye level with him.
He can smell a change in Sonic’s normal heart rate. His heart is racing, even more so than it usually is.
The change in scent sends signals to Shadow’s mind; old, instinctual ones. Ones he hasn’t had in a long time.
HELP HIM! his mind screams. HE’S GOING TO FAINT! ALERT HIM!
He shakes his head, mentally. Sonic doesn’t faint; at least, not that he’s seen.
Sonic’s not Maria.
And this isn’t a medical episode (to his knowledge); it’s a panic attack.
Although, Maria had had a lot of those, too.

Summary
Even after years of fighting and coming to terms with their rivalry, Sonic and Shadow still have issues seeing eye-to-eye about certain things. However, after seeking advice from Shadow, Sonic is no longer ashamed of his identity as an omega. His respect for Shadow grows after the hybrid opens up about his own experiences, and in a sporadic whim of boldness, asks the alpha to start a no-strings-attached arrangement to benefit them both. Well... as per usual... things never go as planned and the two find themselves having much more in common than they originally thought.
Author's note: I've read a lot of fics where Sonic's whole thing is trying to hide the fact he's an omega - Love these fics - I just wanted to turn that idea upside down on it's head. So, instead, he's become proud of his identity and starts trying to explore and learn more about himself and how it's okay to be vulnerable. Same goes for Shadow.
