Summary
Enid has some issues that refuse to be repressed any longer after a fight with Ajax. Wednesday is there to pick up the pieces.

The admission echoed in the small dark space of Enid's attic bedroom, piercing the charged silence. She was sure even without lycan-enhanced hearing Wednesday could count the erratic beats of her heart with ease. She'd harbored this fear for months, years even, and sworn to herself not to let this one slip. Least of all to Wednesday. But after the evening's events, lying here in a pitch-black room far off from the tumultuous noise of her family's antics, Enid felt smaller than she had in ages.
"I can assure you with your choice of clothing most everyone would be able to pick you out of a crowd, Enid."
Enid pinched her eyes shut. She knew this had been a mistake. It was unfair, self-sabotaging even, to put this on Wednesday. She loved her friend and most days she was sure Wednesday loved her back, at least a little, in her own way. But feelings? Talking about feelings? That still was not and likely never would be her strong suit.

“Fine, you made your point,” Barbie grumbles uncharacteristically. She crosses her arms and looks out the window. “I guess driving is a little different here.”Gloria teaches Barbie how to drive. Sucks that the irrepressible thoughts of death are at it again.

Summary
The first bit of flower she coughs up is a yellow rose petal.
It’s horribly unfair, actually, because Wednesday hates roses and the sheer intensity of the yellow is enough that staring at it actually, physically hurts her eyes. She would have preferred dahlias—the black ones, naturally—but if it had to be a rose, couldn’t it have been the thorny portion? Or at least a red rose, so she could occasionally lift a handkerchief to her mouth and imagine what it would have been like to be a 19th-century spinster, coughing up spots of blood before an inevitable death by consumption?
Oh, right. It also means she’s going to die.
