    Summary

“So,” the man with bangs starts with a painfully polite smile. “I heard you called our team trash, huh?”

Satoru blinks at this strange, strange man in front of him. Such large piercings—in court, even? Could he look any more like a delinquent? Satoru has half a mind to throw him into the witness box and put him in trial, but manages to resist. Instead, he stares at the outstretched hand. After a much too long period of silence, the other man slowly lets it drop.

“Yeah, I did,” Satoru finally responds bluntly. “‘Cause you are. That was your defendant that had to run into the bathroom, huh?” He leans in with a shit-eating grin. “You know, I’ve heard them say that stomach issues are a sign of guilt—”

“No one has ever said that,” the other man interrupts. Satoru is delighted by the twitch of irritation beginning to form above his eyebrows.

    Summary

Now that he's looking for it, Yuuji can feel it: the words are etched into him, woven into his muscles and carved into his bones. Start by saving me, Itadori. Yuuji promised he would, so now he must.

The burning pain is starting to come back again. It begins in his chest this time, slightly to the right. Yuuji swallows, reaching up to press his hand against it.

So, he thinks dazedly, as the universe begins to take him apart. This is what happens when you break a Binding Vow.

    -

Megumi dies in Shinjuku. Yuuji is thrown back in time to save him. Again, and again, and again.

(Or: Yuuji says “I’ll save you, Fushiguro” and the universe says “bet.”)

Apocalypse: Star Rail might be the worst game Dr. Veritas Ratio has ever played. In what world is murdering half the known universe for no reason even remotely reasonable? What kind of game kills off its most compelling characters just for shock value?

Also, why is he now in the game — and as a damn NPC, out of all things?

【 Activation Code: “Moronic developers, moronic game.” It is our sincere wish that during your time, you can fulfill your desires and, in accordance with your wish, transform a piece of moronic work into a magnificent, high-quality, first-rate classic. Bound Role: Unnamed male NPC of the Veritas Prime star system, age 0. 】

【 Congratulations! Welcome to Apocalypse: Star Rail, version ██! 】

Well. If these idiot developers can’t take constructive criticism, Veritas might as well construct the criticism himself… by forcibly inserting himself into a plot where he’s never existed.

    Summary

In the year after the Great War, Kim Dokja waits for a man who never comes home.

Rain. Lilies. Daughters. Water under the bridge...

And a letter in the pocket of a dead soldier's uniform.

This is a tragic story about love that survives everything except time, the weight of what-ifs, and the unbearable choice between living on or catching up with those we've lost.
