Summary
“A-Ling!” A voice shouts for him again.
Two arms shoot around his middle. Lin Ling can hardly breathe as he’s pulled up from the side of the building and back onto the rooftop. The force of the pull forces Lin Ling and the person behind to fall hard onto the solid ground, causing him to stumble back into a warm, hard embrace.
Landing hard on his ass, Lin Ling tries his best to make sense of everything that’s happened within the past several minutes. He almost died, holy shit, he’s barely alive right now, Lin Ling’s head can hardly wrap around the simple thoughts, until he feels the grasp around his middle tighten. He flinches when he finally catches the person’s scent, his body calmed down enough from the adrenaline to take in his surroundings.
It’s an alpha’s scent. A scent he knew well, once upon a time. Like fresh laundry. Like home. So warm. Still reeling, Lin Ling turns shakily to see the person behind him mumbling a term he hasn’t used in almost a decade.
“Guang ge?” Lin Ling asks.
