If anything, it's making it worse. But Thursday nights become too important for him to worry about it too much. Yes, he's basically platonically (?) dating the two men he fancies, but that's a problem for future Trent to figure out.

Ed hums his agreement and the vibration around Stede’s nipples has him moaning, panting, desperate for more friction, more touches, just - more of anything. More of Ed.
And Ed knows, as he always does, his hand snaking between them to roll Stede’s other nipple between his thumb and finger, and the friction from the lace sends sparks up Stede’s spine. Stede thinks they can probably come like this, under Ed’s mouth and touch and reverence. But that’s not what he wants, not tonight anyway, so he tangles his hands in Ed’s curls and pulls him up, slotting their mouths together quickly, urgently.
“Bed?” Stede gasps, and Ed nods so quickly he almost looks like a ragdoll.
“Bed.” He agrees, pulling Stede by the hand to their bed and pushes them onto it.

Stede buys an outfit and is worried Ed won't like it. As it turns out, Ed's reaction is overwhelmingly positive.

No one can deny that Ed loves a bit of drama. He almost majored in theater back in school. (His drama professor ended up being a dick. “You–” Ed was struggling to parse what Stede was saying. “You’re playing your version of this song for me, right now? Like, in real time?”“Yes, Edward, that’s correct,” said Stede softly.
Ed’s brain momentarily seized up. He supposed it made sense that Stede was capable of learning a set of rules to do something like arrange and play a piece of music. There was something unnerving about this song, though. It felt, well–it felt organic . Reactive. Almost collaborative in a way. Ed was lost in the push and pull of it, until the last notes softly petered out.
“So, what did you think?” asked Stede. It sounded nervous again. Why the hell would someone program an anxiety response into a bot?
