Lance can see visions of Voltron in his sleep. Voltron, a team of heroes who are destined to save Altea from the iron grip of Zarkon's army. They ride magical lions, bear gifts from the gods, and battle monsters of all kinds. Lance can see them, can sense the lions as they slumber. This is why Haggar keeps him close by her side if ever he sets foot outside his cage. Sorry, he means room. Lance knows now that he's been lied too. Unfortunately, there's not much he can do about it.
Meanwhile Voltron has come together and has begun to build their army. One of their priorities should probably be to rescue the person who knows what they'll do before they even think to do it, right? Right!ON HIATUS FOR INDEFINITE AMOUNT OF TIME

Summary
The paladins make a diplomatic visit to a planet with sexual dimorphism roughly opposite that of Earth. Women are larger and more powerful, while men are leaner and smaller. Cue their horror at gaunt, sickly Pidge and mild disgust with the ’womanly’ Shiro. Lance hits the sweet spot. He's got the build and features to draw the eyes and the charm to keep them. Their hosts are quite taken with him, in particular the daughter of the queen, whose forwardness is a comic reversal of Lance’s usual dynamic with women. Lance likes the attention and finds her intriguing, but eventually things take a discomforting turn.
Lance tried to step around her, wanting to walk away from a conversation that seemed less and less likely to end well, but Leh’n seized his wrist before he could. Her grip was tight, and freeing himself would require an act of aggression, which he still wanted to avoid. ‘Think of the mission, of how important it is to get the castle up and running again,’ he coached himself.
Still, that did nothing to stop his blood pressure from skyrocketing as Leh’n leaned closer and said. “I am not accustomed to reluctance.”

Summary
“I honestly don’t hate you, Lance,” Keith confessed.
“Well,” Lance laughed and spoke in a facetious tone, “I guess I can die happy now.”
In a flurry of instinctual movement, Keith pushed Lance up against the wall, fists curled tightly into the front of his jacket. Keith’s hands trembled as tears blurred his vision of the blue paladin’s panicked face.
“Don’t you say that. Don’t you ever say that!” Keith breathed, clenching the fabric tight enough to leave wrinkles.

Death is an unavoidable consequence of war. However, it doesn’t make light of Lance’s sacrifice or the way it shakes the very heart of the team in the aftermath of the battle and their victory over the empire. Lance’s absence weighs heavy on their minds - an unforgettable presence lost.With the feeling of nightmares crawling under his skin, Keith wakes to Lance’s familiar face and laugh and the overwhelming influence of Zarkon, alive and well. But when Lance dies again as a casualty in the battle, Keith realizes that this may be a nightmare he’s tapped within until he saves Lance or dies trying.
