They glance up again, they strain their vision, and they see no glint that occurs to them as the one of that hangout game. They feel the fire and the weight of that conversation, the way the hair on their skin rose as they witnessed a skewer through the torso, yet they spot nothing through their squinting.

Summary
"You're cuddly today," Puzzles comments as he shuts the oven. His hands hesitate over WNZ's, hovering just above his gauntlets as if he were unsure if he was allowed.
WPNZ doesn't respond, not with words. Idly, though, he rolls the fabric of the apron in his fingers while soft, squishy thoughts enter his head. Thoughts about how WPNZ could wrap Puzzles up in his jacket to shield him from the cold. How they could curl up together on the couch and watch a movie together, though it would be more like Puzzles yammering about all the details and not watching the actual movie. How they could sneak around a park in the dead of night, holding hands as they just talk.
These kinds of things were never his style, so why do these ideas keep popping up nowadays? Something about their life together just makes him feel so... mushy.

WPNZ has an unpleasant dream. He distracts himself by "platonically" flirting with his best friend. This nearly causes a house fire.

Summary
She’s greeted by the cold breeze once outside, along with the overcast sky that dulls the surrounding colors. She doesn’t think much of it, it’s been cloudy weather for days on end lately; simply the type of weather that comes with early spring.
Haruka walks out from under the school’s awning and towards the school gates. The air around her feels the slightest bit misty, but she finds it pleasant.
Suddenly, something wet falls from the sky in front of her, causing her to flinch. Looking down, she sees a single water droplet splattered on the sidewalk.
A few more drops join the first one. She feels a drop land on the sleeve of her cardigan, and another on her head.
It begins to rain.

You wouldn’t call it comforting. It would imply a need for reassurance. Rather, having this certainty is necessary to focus on everything else that needs to get done. You need a solid base to build a project. Tennis Ball’s admiration is just that.
Or: When everything feels outside of your control, even certainties aren't safe from doubt.
