It's a beautiful morning with the Chain, and Dink has been a horrible person. Wild's been taken by Hylia for Tears of the Kingdom without so much as a note (or his Slate), and his quick (so he thought) jaunt checking out the Gloom has left him with a goat's prosthetic and his normal arm's gone missing.
Where's it gone? Ask Dink! He's the one who threw it at the rest of the Chain!
Follow along as everyone discovers a very Suspicious Arm and comes to the Wrong Conclusion!

“He doesn’t want us touching him,” Warriors said, gesturing over at the lump of blankets where the new Link was curled up. “Wouldn’t let me carry him away from the fire even though he was overwhelmed by the people.”
“This is addin’ up in a way I don’t like much,” Twilight said. “I know he’s a Link, but…” This seemed like a lot of trouble for someone so small, someone who hadn’t been on any adventures yet.
Legend stepped forward, looking angry at nothing in particular. “When I carried him to camp, I noticed how light he was. He said he’d gone into our camp because he was looking for food. He might be from around here, but that alone raises some questions. What was a kid his age doing, travelling in the woods, alone, with no food stores and no weapon?”
OR:
Link is lost, confused, and scared. There's no way he's gonna trust these weird warriors, even if they don't seem like they want to hurt him.
The chain wants to help this new little hero. And if they find their missing healer on the way, well... so much the better!

Summary
The newest member of the ragtag group of heroes throughout the ages literally falls from the sky in front of them.
It doesn't take long for them to realize that he's not a fighter like the rest of them, at least not anymore. And that's ignoring the fact that he's a shy nervous wreck who clearly isn't used to being around nine other heroes with questionable social skills.
(AU where Wild is the last to join the Chain and he's not a swordsman like everyone else, but is instead a sorcerer because his chronic pain meant he couldn't fight with an actual sword anymore. He's got a lot of healing to go through with that, and the Chain will help him because he's one of them, even if a sorcerer Link wasn't what they were expecting.)
