Summary
After 3 years of the boys being distant, a water pipe bursts at the Byers' house causing them to stay at the Wheeler's for 5 days. Mike just wants Will and him to be close again, so he devises a plans to help Will get another guys attention. The two living together forces them to confront somethings from their past; the rumor, their distance, and... the kiss.

"Uh huh," Mike says lowly, pressing Will into the screen. Will can feel Mike's lazy smile again his skin as he sucks at his neck. Will feels his body heat up.
"Keep going" Mike whispers.
"I- I don't understand how you expect me to keep go- talking when you're-" Will feels Mike's hand slip down past his underwear.

"I- I want to help you," Mike says, his eyes still closed. "Help you feel good."
Thrill zips up Will's spine. The words are straight out of a fantasy, out of a dream he's certain he's had about Mike, before.
His hands grip the sheets under him. Mike must've meant it in a different way. Will's reading into this, like he always does.
"Have you ever…" And here, Mike's hesitation makes him meet Will's eyes again. Will's breath catches at the sight. His pupils are blown out, his breath uneven. He looks hungry.
"Have you ever touched yourself, Will?"

Steve Harrington, for the most part, was a completely normal high school student. Maybe even a little more normal than others. His grades were average (and below average in the classes he didn’t need for graduation), he had a good group of tight knit friends who he could count on no matter what, and as far as money went, he was in a pretty okay place thanks to his parents, which a lot of the kids at Capital High couldn’t say.
Until he met Mr. Jonathan Byers, and the center of his universe shifted.

Mike has finally made it as an author. But writing about your own past can get complicated, especially when fans start to draw conclusions that point Mike in the direction of the person he's been writing about all along.
And living life is hard. Especially when you're doing it all on your own. But grief and love are a lot more similar than you might realise. They both tend to wake us up from the monotony of our lives.
OR: Mike has a horrible time, which somewhere along the way turns into a wonderful time.
