While not the softest of greetings, Rohan thought that the question was more than warranted. For once, Josuke looked any other teenager. Maybe a well-dressed teenager, with his t-shirt tucked into his designer belt and barely a scratch on his polished loafers, but a teenager nonetheless. Without that tacky modified school uniform, he could have blended in perfectly with a crowd his age.
Unfortunately, that didn’t change the fact that they were both standing in the middle of an empty convenience store at one in the morning with blood smeared across the entire lower half of Josuke's face.

Jotaro hated to admit it to himself, but despite the fact that he hadn't teared up when they left Japan, he missed his grandfather’s presence. After having him beside him for so long and through so much, being separated from him felt… almost wrong. Like another thing was missing. And the more he lingered on that thought, the more the lack of Polnareff's presence felt wrong too.

I could fucking cry. I could genuinely weep. Usually not a fan of canon-compliant fics that are so intensely hopeful in their tone (in that things-will-get-better way) but this is a gem.
A certain scene in this between Polnareff and Jotaro is intensely, heartbreakingly beautiful.
