Summary
As the crew of the Going Merry arrive in eerily icy waters, a creature lurking in the depths will test the relationships of everyone on board, with one particular pairing feeling the strain the most. Will the Straw Hat crew be able to trust each other, or will some be left alone to carry the weight of saving their friends (and loved ones)?
This story takes place sometime after the end of the Alabasta arc but is an original take on the classic pirate’s tale of the siren.

Summary
Malfoy’s growl-like exhale brought her attention back to him. "If you go all bleeding-heart on me, I'm leaving you here."
She snapped her eyes back to his. "Wait…You’ll take me?"
In answer, he glared at her while he dug the small bag from his pocket and tipped its contents into his palm, leaving a tiny wooden star there.
Hermione only stared at his proffered hand, the shock of his decision to allow her to join him sending her body into an immobilized state.
"Twelve seconds, Granger."
Before she could think of a better option, Hermione placed her own hand into his palm, almost as if she were accepting an invitation to dance with him.
His hand was warm against hers, and despite the absurdity of the circumstances, her body slowly uncoiled in relief, anticipating the balm to her raw nerves the quiet forest was sure to provide.

“They say that curiosity killed the cat, but then again, you’ve always been a curious little creature, haven’t you, kitten?”
She feels her blood freeze, her fingers pressing into the stone beneath her hands. Her heart is enraptured, beating heavily against her sternum as she stares down, refusing to look at the shadow that has moved into the periphery of her vision.
“But I don’t think you’re a ‘kitten’ or even a ‘lion’ any longer, Hermione.”
Her breath stutters, shaking exhales that leave her body a trembling mess on the stone floor. Hermione sees his form crouch next to her, the scent of smoke hanging heavily in the air. Shadows move, circling beneath her chin to tilt her head back until she is forced to look up into the darkness that occludes him from view. The dimness around them ripples, like the warmth of a breeze against a flickering flame, and Hermione’s eyes widen as the image of whisp filled wings appear over his shoulders.
“I think you are a dove whose wings have been clipped one too many times.”

Summary
"What in Merlin’s name is that?” Granger asked, furrowing her brow as she examined the gold dust on her hand.
But Draco knew. He’d been around magical plants his entire life. His mother adored gardening. He’d done exceptionally well in Herbology, easily earning an O. He’d assumed Granger would know, but she still looked confused—possibly in denial.
She’d touched it. It was on her hand. The cloud of glitter was still swirling around them, and Draco knew— they were fucked.
