Lan Wangji's lips tightened, and he strode towards Wei Wuxian at a pace that was almost rushed. A particularly thick root rose from nowhere and hooked his ankle, and Lan Wangji's eyes grew wide as he fell heavily onto Wei Wuxian.
Wei Wuxian made a muffled, indignant noise while Lan Wangji lay against him, his lips firmly pressed against warm, soft flesh. Lan Wangji felt frozen, and his mind went blanker than the Cold Pond in deepest winter. -

Summary
I really wanted to title this story "Wen Kexing's Journey Through Self-Care," but it indicates a certain levity that just isn't present in the story. This story explores a lot of dark themes but does end with a lot of sweetness, and I wanted to focus on the role that Wen Kexing's costume choices play throughout Word of Honor's storyline and how they might connect to his self-image. And of course, there's Zhou Zishu's perspective on everything.

He kisses him again, this time on his forehead, and again to his nose, the corner of lips, his chin, the mole on his left cheek and anywhere he can reach. Each kiss brings a silent apology and vow, as if to say I love you, I love you, I’m here, you’re safe with me and I’m safe with you. What he wants to say, out loud: you never have to leave, please stay forever.
Or: Mihawk comes and goes as he pleases, but now without his Warlord title, Shanks just wishes he’d stay.

“I’m not going to give you information,” Pete volunteers to his bent over form. There’s no way to know exactly what’s in store for him but Pete feels the need to make that declaration.
There’s a sharp zapping sound, and Vegas turns to face him then, revealing the jumper cables in his gloved hands which are connected to a car battery on the table behind him. The rest seems self-explanatory.
“I don’t want information,” Vegas says, finally looking up at him from the cables.
By then Vegas is already advancing on him, much too close for comfort. But Pete has already resigned himself at this point.
Or the one where Pete is very uncooperative at being tortured, Vegas gets a little too creative and falls for his own trap in the worst way possible.
