The holidays have never really been something that Steve Harrington chooses to celebrate, after having lost his parents at an early age. Having a whole team of people to take care of him, along with his mysterious uncle Nick as his distant benefactor seems like a sweet gig. But he’s losing his Holiday Spirit as each year slips by.

He lifts the shaker, snapping his wrist so the ice rattles sharp and loud over his shoulder. The cold metal bites into his palm. "So, what's your name, newbie?"
"Steve." Eddie strains the cocktail into a waiting glass, the liquid settling smooth and pale. He slides it across the bar. Steve watches it like it might detonate, fingers hovering before he finally wraps them around the glass. "Yours?"
"Eddie." He taps the bar once, twice, then leans forward against it, the edge pressing into his hips.
"And just so you know, Steve, if you're gonna order drinks with names like that, you gotta own it. Look 'em dead in the eye. Show no fear. We prey on weakness round here." Someone should... definitely check on how his brain is doing, after Eddie’s confession. Virginity is bullshit anyway, right? Robin told him about it, how it’s a completely made-up societal construct that invalidates a lot of queer people’s sexual experiences, and how toxic it can be to straight relationships too, so he can take her lesson to heart and be normal about it. Totally.
“That’s so fucking hot,” he blurts out.
