“What can I give you to get you to not block with your face?” Caitlyn coaxed, exasperated beyond belief. “This match was supposed to make up for all the other times you’ve taken injury from my hand—”
“You mean, that blue and yellow fuck of a ball?”
“My hand all the same.” Caitlyn corrected, with her beautifully moisturized lips pulling down into a frown that Vi wishes she could take all away. “You’re hurt, because of me, and I’m not so sure how I can fix it if the ball just… chases you like it has a mind of its own.”
It sure feels that way— it’s making Vi believe that the ball has a personal vendetta.
But Vi doesn’t express that. Instead, she huffs— only knowing one decent answer. “Maybe we can get to know each other, perhaps?”

Or: Vi is just passing through the gym, but then she gets hit hard enough by a volleyball to make her pass out, and she wakes up to a beautiful stranger on top of her; fanning her like an angel.

Summary

“So we’re back to this?” Vi breathed out as Caitlyn situated herself between her legs.
“Depends what you mean by this.” She readjusted so that their hips were flush together, Vi leaning back on her elbows with one leg propped up.
“Being a cold bitch.”
Caitlyn’s expression faltered for a moment but as she moved further into Vi’s space her eyes drifted to the pink flush appearing. She scoffed. “You seem warm enough to me, darling.”
The camera began clicking in front of them, both of them focusing on posing.
“Vi, I’ll get you to place the hand closest to the camera on Caitlyn’s butt. Caitlyn, is that okay?”
“Yep, fine.” Her pulse was quickening.
“Butt.” Vi snorted.
Caitlyn rolled her eyes but Vi could see her smile a little. “Just do it.”
“So needy.”

Caitlyn is a Victoria's Secret Angel and Vi is a model for Calvin Klein. They get assigned to a collaborative campaign between the two companies and tensions run high when they are not what they seem to the other.

Summary
After ten years in Stillwater for a crime she didn't commit, Vi breaks herself out and goes home. Her homecoming doesn't go like she thought it would.
Two years later, she's out of control and out on the streets. She's now a champion pitfighter, a raging alcoholic, and completely on her own. Despite her family's best (and desperate) efforts to help, Vi's on a one-way track to ending up either dead or back in prison.
At the same time, Caitlyn arrives in the undercity to collect data and information for her thesis. She starts her research from a local bar called The Last Drop, which puts her right into Vi's path. Vi might have been out of her family's home for years, but she's still not going to let a topsider put them in danger.
Canon divergence (everyone lives!), enemies to lovers (barely, the lovers aspect happens fast), angst, trauma, addiction, and also fluff and humour (because these things can co-exist!)
