Summary
Many say that you live only once, but for Satoru, that presumption was false. Ever since they parted ways in Shibuya several years ago, Satoru can still feel the phantom pains running through his soul on several occasions. A severed arm that never quite healed, or a heart surgery performed wrongly that caused him to crash on the operating table. Whoever espoused such a saying, was an idiot, he thought.
Second chances are a gift. But for Satoru, he is too tired to believe it to be anything but a curse. Someone along the way, however, will try their best to prove him wrong.

Yagi’s eyes were so dilated that the blue was almost invisible. He shook violently. He looked like a scarecrow in a windstorm.
