Summary
When William and Sherlock are roped into investigating a series of deaths at a convent in Durham, they soon are forced to admit that what makes them work well together is what should have kept them apart in the first place. Summary
As snow slowly envelops the city of New York, William struggles with his own weakness. He and Sherlock have promised to live on together but selfishly he still wishes for there to be more between them. His thoughts are in such disarray that he is almost relieved when Billy sets them both on a last-minute assignment, to protect and deliver a young widow and her daughter to a safe house outside of the city.
The task is not as simple as it seems, instead of spending the holidays at home and at ease the two find themselves in the middle of a murderous plot, the target the very woman they are charged with protecting. The events that follow test both their dedication to one another and William's resolve to strike a new path away from bloodshed. Will their new life together come out of it intact, or in pieces?
Or, Sherlock and William's first Christmas together does not go quite as planned, but they figure it out eventually :)
