Summary
It isn't the storm of a lifetime. It isn't even a hurricane. Robby wouldn't have thought twice of it, if the power hadn't gone out. While Robby wouldn't necessarily classify himself as being afraid of the dark, a combination storm-blackout... well, it reminds him of a very different time. He did his residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans in 2009, after all, and the memories that come back to him are dark indeed.
Thankfully, he has a partner that will drive through floodwaters unasked to find him. -

While the Pitt staff work through the pressure, trauma, and fear of the mass casualty event, Robby tries and fails to get ahold of his partner. He only hears rumors through the grapevine about an ex-combat medic performing triage on the festival grounds. Even as he tracks down Jake and Leah's whereabouts, Jack remains a shadowy mystery...
Until an ambulance brings him in.

One night, while Dr. Abbot is out for a run, he comes across Dennis Whitaker in an alleyway. While Whitaker tries to insist otherwise, Jack eventually convinces Whitaker to spend the night at his apartment. He isn't sure if he'll be able to convince Whitaker of a more permanent solution to this, but at the very least, he's not going to melt in the rain overnight. As Whitaker prepares for bed, Dr. Robby decides to bring his long-term boyfriend some bagels and coffee.

Summary
A particularly tragic case has left Robby low. Jack comes over to raise his spirits, and though Robby is one secretive son of a bitch when it comes to his own feelings, everything seems like it will be okay.
Later, the unthinkable happens. The attempt leaves Robby in the hospital and Jack scrambling to make sense of it all. He would've preferred Robby shoot him stone-cold dead.
As he starts the long road to recovery, Robby and Jack wrestle with the aftermath. Not only dealing with the devastation of his partner trying to take his own life, Jack struggles with his moral obligations as a doctor, a friend, and a partner. Robby wants to continue to be a pillar for his family to depend on, but has to come to terms with the fact that he cannot be an island forever. -

On the day that the bet ends, peril strikes the ER. A patient attacks Dr. Abbot, leaving him concussed. Though Robby sends him home, he can't quite shake off the worry. The thought of gathering Jack in his arms again is the only thing pulling him through this shift.

A juvenile presents to the Pitt with an infected laceration. When Robby goes to examine, he finds that it's not only infected, the leg is dead from the knee-down. He breaks the news to his religious mother, who takes out a gun and gives Dr. Robinavitch an ultimatum: either he fixes the leg without amputation, or he dies.
At home, Jack struggles with guilt after an argument with Robby the prior night. He doesn't have time to make a proper apology with their shifts, but at the very least, he can bring Robby lunch as a peace offering.

Flambae gets trapped while on a mission. Death seems imminent, until Waterboy swoops in to save him. While Flambae isn't too willing to thank the man who saw him have a breakdown while out in the field, they nevertheless have a talk in the bar after-the-fact. Flambae realizes that Waterboy might not be so bad after all... and if he brings Waterboy out of his shell, he might like what he finds.

Whenever Bob stops showing up to work, Truman asks one of the Psychic Seven to bring him back. There's not many of them left these days, and so, it's Otto's turn to talk to Bob. It doesn't go well for either of them - and it brings up some memories that Otto would rather forget. Not remembering is so much easier.
Maybe he can destroy the memories, once and for all.

Before the Battle of Grulovia, Bob wants to talk about what will happen if either of them die. Which is ridiculous, because Helmut knows full well that they're going to be fine. They're just going to get their friend Lucy. Why is death on the table?
The worst happens, and Helmut goes to meet with his husband after twenty years. Through a series of miscommunications with the young Razputin, he's convinced himself that Bob has re-married in the gap. Which is fine. He's allowed to. He wants Bob to be happy. The fact Bob is clearly miserable and drunk and unwashed absolutely does not make him see red, and he is not imagining hitting Bob's new husband over the head with a very large rock.

Actually, it'll be good for an opportunity to give Ford a piece of his mind.
