Summary
Peter was alone, mid-way through an existential crisis after the Erasure™ and was dreading the upcoming month of May.
Jason was sick of people telling him how he felt. ‘You don’t need us anymore,’ Artemis had told him, as if saying it would make it true. As if Jason needed someone to justify keeping them around. But three weeks back in Gotham and all Jason felt was fucking bored and lonely.
It was a relief, then, when some random New Yorker was thrown into his living room through a portal straight out of some LSD daydream.
Finally, something interesting to deal with.
Cue some wild family misunderstandings, criminal conspiracies and cults.
Because there’s always a goddamn cult.

Summary
After the world forgot him, Peter kept fighting. He was Spider-Man after all. But as the villains get worse and the heroes dwindle, Peter finally grows tired. Hasn't he done his time? He's never once shirked the responsibility forced upon him. Never once has he put himself first.
Eventually, the straw breaks the camel's back. Peter finally hangs up the cape.
Unfortunately the universe seems to disagree. When Peter wakes up in Gotham he knows he should probably find a way home. But what's the point? Normal people don't find their way home across the multiverse, and Peter is normal now. He refuses to be anything else.
So why do unfamiliar heroes keep ending up on his doorstep? And can he really turn them away?
--
In which Peter Parker just wants to retire but instead he becomes a mentor for young dcu heroes and his home becomes a vigilante halfway house

I love steve agreeing to this in the end because of will (& eddie ofc) and even though he's kinda clueless about all this stuff, he fucking kills it. he's a badass during the tournaments, he fucking WON it, his character is hot, HE'S hot, eddie sounds hot as well (robin & nancy too). the kids are hilarious and sweet. the steddie is hot and adorable. this was just a great fic!!
(matt can go fuck himself. especially since I'm sure no one else will)

Ukai Keishin was not—and had no interest in becoming—a father. He’d somehow become responsible for fourteen children regardless.

this is so fucking sweet. I love this so much. this team holds such a dear place in my heart and reading about them facing challenges, being kids, growing up and loving each other so fiercely is amazing. the characterisation is impeccable and it's just so sweet. and ukai being the best father they could ask for, especially to the kids who don't have one already, is so heartwarming and at times hilarious. I just loved this so much (and ukai & takeda were adorable too, all the ships were)

Summary
Living well is the best revenge, so they say. In Jake's quiet fury at the dismissive, heartless way everyone spoke of his brother's death and the complete lack of empathy he found at every turn and corner, he decides to find a way to live the best life he can possibly conceive, with the opportunity Tommy left behind for him: a fresh start on a new world... just not exactly the way the RDA vultures meant.
(In which Jake Sully pulls the ultimate con on every person who failed to treat his brother's memory with respect, and every person who failed to be kind to their fellow man.)
((Previously 'From the Ashes.'))
(On hiatus, not abandoned.)

I'm fucking obsessed with this fic. I love avatar already but this is completely overhauling it in the best way possible. the characters are given more depth, jake is completely different but I adore him, all the different bases and their occupants are badass, the world building is immaculate, and I somehow like quaritch in this fic which is impressive. jellybean for the absolute win btw, she's so cool. all the palulukan are, and the culture building for them is so fucking cool. the way all the characters interact with each other is both so sweet and absolutely hilarious, love that they all get so excited over being able to get drunk and high. also, the way you've explained humans, earth and how we interact & treat each other is amazing to read. if I talked about every detail I love about this fic I'd never stop talking, I'm not even kidding, it's just such a great fic. (love jake being a weaver, it's hilarious to me for some reason)
