Summary
FISHING MAN- A voice curls out from behind a hollowed out tree, situated firmly down into the mud of the banks. Neither of you had seen him, but he speaks, and as he does you see the faint ghostly white of a fishing line out into the water. “There aren’t enough of them.” It’s pitched up halfway, like a question from a person who isn’t sure if they’re asking one.
Two weeks after Martinaise, Harry starts having strange dreams- and a new monster shows its face.

“You’re having trouble sleeping… is the couch a problem?”
“I’m not kicking you out of your bed,” Harry said.
“You’re not.” He waited for something to happen, but nothing did, so he continued. “It’s wide enough. You can tell me about your nightmare.”
Another quiet whimper from the other room. Then, miraculously, a shuffling noise shortly followed by a pitch swath of humanoid shadow in the dark grey space of the doorframe. A tiny victory over self loathing, apparently. The negotiations that followed were done blindly and in hushed tones.
Harry's apartment is deeply fucked after his return from Martinaise. Kim is kind enough to let him stay over for a couple nights and gets hit in the face with a ton of inconvenient feelings-bricks.

THE DEAD GIRL’S FILE- The corpse is in her early thirties. Mondial, at a glance. Eye color slightly obscured, but most likely gray. Slim build, average height. A birthmark at the base of her neck- a wide diffuse patch of paper-white and hairless skin.
ENCYCLOPEDIA [Legendary: Success]- This is a voidmark. When a pregnant mother is over-exposed to the pale. Other potential symptoms in the children include inconsistent growth patterns, higher sensitivity to psychoactive substances, autoimmune disorders, and chronic anxiety.
INLAND EMPIRE [Challenging: Success]- Something drained out of them, and something foreign placed inside.Or: A strange murder mystery spirals into something bigger than anyone could have imagined. Harry and Kim think a lot about Revachol, the future, and disco along the way.

The last one hadn’t gone over well, but the first three were accepted readily.

There is no reply, but he doesn’t need one. She’s there. That is, as always, more than enough.This is me thinking about Aziraphale a lot.

'The demon, as usual, was mucking about in the bookshop. The shelves were kept miraculously free of dust, the books were all sorted by color, height, and author (somehow simultaneously), and there were no accounts to keep track of because no sales had ever been made. In short, he was bored, and had taken to stacking the heaviest books he could find and tossing them in random corners.'

He needs to return to his apartment, and his job, and his life, but the prospect is terrifying; everything that was once him is everything he can't allow himself to be ever again. Kim helps him make the transition, and Harry pines wildly over him. They eat food and talk about the homo-sexual underground. Harry tries not to cry a lot.
