Summary
Yoongi has only freshly landed in New Zealand after moving from South Korea when he realises he has no clue what he’s signed himself up for. The unpredictable weather, weird slang, way too relaxed culture (seriously, it’s uncanny how chill everyone is), unreliable public transport and sheep quickly become all too much for Yoongi. Then during his first day of university in this unfamiliar country, a cyclone of emotions -along with a literal cyclone- hits him; and before his very first lecture can even start he is already doing the mental math to decide if he has enough left over in his bank account for a last minute flight back home.
But Yoongi has yet to realise that home is where the heart is, and his heart lies with Jung Hoseok.
A tale about BTS as young kiwi adults and their shenanigans endured while navigating university, adulting, life and love, all while being a slave to New Zealand’s shitty bus timetables - and traumatising one significantly culture-shook Min Yoongi in the process.

There’s something in Yoongi’s tone there that catches Hoseok’s attention – wistful and dreamy, overflowing with a sense of longing. Hoseok thinks his heart stutters anxiously in his chest, and fuck, he’s too old to be having such juvenile reactions to these things. He risks a sideways glance at Yoongi, tongue darting out to wet his lips.
“Is that, uh – is that something you wanted one day?” Hoseok asks carefully. “Kids?”
Yoongi heaves a defeated sigh as he leans to the side, dropping his head on Hoseok's shoulder. “It would’ve been nice.”
