Look one of the things I LOVE about domestic discipline fics (hi, yes, do you enjoy a good "Jamie gets spanked" fic? let's chat about what this genre has to offer you!), is that you CAN emphasize the DOMESTIC part of those two words.
Not every fic where Jamie earns himself a spanking has to be high stakes, life-or-death, oh my god he DESERVES it!
Or even "oh my god FIRST TIME!" which does in fact deserve the exclamation point because there's so many emotions involved.
Sometimes you can just let yourself write a bunch of scenes, slice-of-life style, where you enjoy the Roy/Jamie/Keeley dynamic for everything it can bring to the kitchen table.
And the hall table.
And any other table Jamie needs to be bent over, for the spanking he's earned.

Summary
Jamie Tartt were the best striker in the fucking league. Everyone knew he were the best, and everyone knew he had to be a sado dom, because sado doms made the best strikers, didn't they?
It were all the aggression they brought to the pitch.
But Jamie Tartt had a secret.
Or at least, he did have a secret, until his loan to Richmond AFC.
He'd done so good- no one'd guessed he was a sub in academy or at Man City. He'd done everything, to keep that secret a fucking secret.
He'd done so good, until Roy fucking Kent figured it out.

Summary
A silly discipline-based alternate universe where there really isn't a timeline, there's probably no continuity, and the only source of Truth is that AFC Richmond have a club paddle- that is, a spanking paddle that's used to paddle the players when they're not their usual loveable selves.
That's it. That's the only rule: The Richmond Club Paddle must make an appearance.

Roy Kent is six-year-old Jamie's favorite footballer, and close to Georgie's age, so she flirts with him to get her son's poster signed. In another universe, it would just be a distant memory.
In this universe, that flirtation leads to a date, leads to a relationship, leads to marriage, leads to Roy as wee Jamie's stepdad.

“Teach me,” Enkidu said simply, smiling slightly when Gilgamesh turned his head to look at him. “I would learn you.”
“You mean you would learn from me,” Gilgamesh corrected with a smile.
"That too,” Enkidu said, rising up and turning onto his side.

This may be my single favorite parental-feel dfic IN EXISTENCE.
It's the complexity of the characters, the way I can never predict which way Jared is going to go in his next lines in a scene because he feels like a whole and entire person!!
It's Ivan's clear and obvious love for his grandson, and his gruff way of showing it.
It's Irena's putting-up-with-it-all mild exasperation and concern. AND THE FUCKING BACKSTORY, which leaks out in little lore drops.
I dunno. I just love all of it.

Summary
The problem with magic, as this young mage would tell you, is that it makes so many things possible—and only some of them are explicitly forbidden. How is a boy to know which is which? He could ask his father, naturally. The older mage would tell. But that goes against every instinct of boyhood. Some lessons must be learned the hard way.
This is a collection of stories about childhood, magic, and the trouble that inevitably follows—at home, at school, on the family farm, and in every place where a boy with too much power and too little wisdom might find himself called to account.
Mind the tags and make sure you are good with them before reading.

Loved this! The worldbuilding is so interesting and unique, and the relationship between the father and son is likewise unique!
