Kaveh is an inventor. He invents mechanical robots, closets that choose your clothing for the day, little suitcases that beep and warble. He enjoys drawing architectural plans, and he enjoys watching his creations come to fruition. It is his greatest joy. So when a dead king’s spirit curses him never to create anything ever again, his very purpose and pride is ripped from him.
Along the way, Kaveh will meet Sage Al-Haitham, the mysterious outcast of the Akademiya, and he will learn more about the magic Sumeru holds in store for him.

The young girl's hands were bloodied with the guilt of having survived the vicious rampage of the monsters, the burning sky never ceased in her eyes as the monsters kept hunting her down, seemingly determined to see her dead.

So when the (intern) doctor in charge of his case finds out that he's never played 'Heart's Blood' - Akademiya Studios' pride and joy, and the indie darling that swept the Avidya Game Awards - she insists that he gives it a try. Doctor's orders.

Kaveh knows he's in a video game. He doesn't know how, he doesn't know why - he just knows that being a sentient video game character is his existence now. Still, it's not bad - he gets all the time he could ever want to work on his architecture, and when he gets tired of the inside of his office, he takes a walk through the beautifully rendered forests of 'Heart's Blood'.
But when a handsome stranger logs into the game for the first time and picks the strangest dialogue choices available, he's left floundering and flustered.
He also wonders if this stranger, who might be crushing on him - knows that the story ends in death and heartbreak.

This was going to be a long one.
To his surprise, it took but a few minutes for their academic haunches to ground them, leaving behind any malice from their earlier conflicts. It was as if they were back on the divan reading books that reminded them of their quaint research in the Akademiya. Nothing could have prepared him for the mountainous waves of emotion he’d been through since then, nor that he and Alhaitham would be nose deep in the pages of their thesis because it posed as useful for their newfound life-or-death situation.
This is a lore intense work surrounding a study of Haikaveh's relationship between themselves and the rest of Sumeru as godhood emulates their characteristics. Major character death is involved, but it's not permanent. Takes place before Version Luna VII.

Summary
Kaveh overheard Alhaitham's confession when he was drunk, but the scribe is under the impression that he doesn't remember. Which means Kaveh would have to confess first. But was he going to do such a thing?
Absolutely not!
His pride was on the line here, so he would do the next best thing. Trick Alhaitham into confessing once again!
Unfortunately, Alhaitham has the same idea as Kaveh...Who will win this game of pride?
