Summary
About five minutes after falling through the door to light, Riku passes out from exhaustion and collapses into Kairi's arms. They'd been going for the hug anyway, so it's not a total loss, but he's pretty heavy. Sora helps her carry him out of the water and into the seaside shack, where they lay him down to rest - Kairi watches Sora brush his bangs back from his eyes, two parts fond, one part jealous.
Falling out of the sky and swimming back to shore was but one small part of a very long, very dangerous journey for Sora, Riku and Kairi. Luckily, there's plenty of time to settle back into island life before their next adventure. (And plenty of love to go around.)

Summary
Riku wakes up to Kairi's elbow jabbing him in the gut. Again.
He does take a moment to appreciate the way her hair shines, bathed in the glow of early morning sunbeams, before shifting away out of the Danger Zone(tm), but he can only go so far before he reaches the edge of the bed.
Over Kairi's shoulder, he can see Sora splayed out to take up literally half of the bed. This happens every night, and Riku has yet to devise a solution. But if he's being honest- Kairi might be pointy, but she's also warm, so maybe he doesn't mind waking up like this more often than not.
Kairi jerks in her sleep, nailing him right in the bladder. Riku calmly reminds himself that he loves them, and is careful to step over the creaky floorboards on his way to the bathroom.

Summary
Chihaya rationalizes it for some time. After all, they’re all helping each other become a semi-functional baseball team. Of course they have to spend time together and look at each other. On top of that, he wouldn’t expect Todo to just ignore him when they sit next to each other in class. Todo is friendly and personable. There’s no deeper meaning to how often Chihaya catches his gaze. If there was, Todo would be better at hiding it, wouldn’t he?
or, chihaya keeps catching todo looking at him, and he just wants to know what it means.

“There’s no hope of your personality getting any better, is there?” Todo mopes, putting his phone back in his pocket with a distrusting look.
Chihaya just rests his chin in his hand and smiles. “Some things are better off not changing, don’t you think?”
Todo snorts. “We’re supposed to be grown ups now, you know.”
“Oh, now Todo-kun is going to lecture me about adulthood?” Chihaya jokes. It’s not necessarily that he thinks Todo is immature or irresponsible. Sometimes, looking at Todo just reminds him of when they were fifteen.

“Are those fangs?”
Without thinking, Todo reaches for Chihaya’s face and uses his thumbs to push up his lip and get at his canines. Chihaya makes a sound of protest that Todo barely hears, but he doesn’t dodge or slip out of his grip.
He’s expecting some sort of plastic prop, or maybe something a little fancier considering nothing looked off from a distance other than their length, but all he sees are natural pink gums and white teeth. The fangs extend from a little higher up than where he’d expect Chihaya’s canines to be.
The fleshy pad of his thumb turns pale when he presses it against one unnaturally long, smooth tooth. It’s solid and doesn’t budge against the pressure he puts on it. He slides along the length of it before finding the point, and just as Todo thinks it’s sharp, he feels a pinprick in his skin.
“Hodo-un,” Chihaya slurs his name around his fingers, glaring at him with pink cheeks.
Or, in which Todo finds out Chihaya is a vampire and offers to be his next meal.

Summary
“Damn, you’re bad at this,” Todo proclaims, a bit louder than strictly necessary. Before he can think any better of it, his right hand shoots out to grab Chihaya’s left wrist; he holds it still, fine bones and quick pulse and everything.
There’s suddenly a bit of a lump in his throat, and he has to swallow around it so he can say: “you’re supposed to do it like this.”
Slowly, he brings their combined hands up to Kinako’s nose, like an offering. She takes her time sniffing them, her pink nose brushing feather-light against their fingers.
“You have to wait until she’s satisfied,” Todo explains. “Or you’ll spook her.”

Todo teaches Chihaya a thing or two about cats and realizes he still has some more studying to do.
