“You can’t fight without spiritual power,” Feng Xin insisted. “Just take some.”
With his hand around Mu Qing’s wrist, he sent him a burst of spiritual power.
“Hey! What the hell are you doing?” Mu Qing exclaimed. “I told you I don’t need that.”
To Feng Xin’s surprise, he felt Mu Qing’s hand clasping his, followed by the unsettling sensation of his own spiritual power flowing back into him through their joined hands. Summoning his full concentration, he clutched Mu Qing’s hand and tried to reverse the flow.
“You’re so aggravating,” Mu Qing spat, tightening his already crushing grip on Feng Xin’s hand. “I don’t need your lousy power. Take it back, Feng Xin!”
Feng Xin was fully shouting as he replied, “Screw you, make me!”
Always ready to give as good as he got, Mu Qing yelled back, “Maybe I will!”
Then, with no warning, Mu Qing pulled Feng Xin in and kissed him on the lips.

He had intimate knowledge of Feng Xin’s habits, the way his fists clenched until his veins became more pronounced, the small smile that lifted the corners of his lips whenever his arrow hit a target just the way he wanted to. The warm cedar and leather musk when he got too close to Mu Qing, the way his eyes flashed whenever Hua Cheng said something annoying.
And yet Mu Qing didn’t know that Feng Xin was ticklish.

Day 17: Royalty
The boy had a scowl etched into his face. He glared at Feng Xin, eyebrows furrowed. His entire face looked pinched with his scrunched-up nose and lips pressed in a thin line. The robes he wore were boring greyish colors, which contrasted with Feng Xin’s bright attire. The boy’s hair was pulled back in a messy ponytail with loose strands falling on his face. Every so often, he’d blow one of the strands out of his face, only for it to fall back where it was before.
Feng Xin decided he didn’t like him. He didn’t look friendly or fun. He looked weird.
When he saw his mother’s face soften when she looked at the other boy, Feng Xin knew he was doomed.
“A-Xin, this is Mu Qing. He’s your future husband, so be nice, okay?” his mother said sweetly, kneeling next to him.

Prince Feng Xin and prince Mu Qing are put into an arranged marriage. Neither of them is thrilled with the development.
Or, 5 times Feng Xin felt hatred toward Mu Qing, and 1 time he felt a different emotion.
