Summary
Stan and Kyle have always had a codependent friendship, but things get more complicated in their senior year of high school, when Stan’s habit of drunkenly crying to Kyle develops into something more intimate. Stan is a depressed teenage alcoholic with a girlfriend, but he only craves affection from his best friend. Meanwhile, Kyle tries to convince himself that he’s totally fine with their fucked up dynamic.

Stan has thought about asking Kyle about it, telling him about the scenarios he’s thought up of the four of them back in his basement — though, in these, Kyle is always the one in heat. Kyle is the one they’re there for. The one they’re sharing, touching, giving and taking from. Stan’s not sure if he can ask for this. They’d all see him at his worst. At his most vulnerable and uncontrollable.

Stan hesitates to let Kyle be there for his rut. When Kenny and Butters are added in to the picture, Stan finds his fears run much deeper than what he first thought.
