He makes himself walk quietly, padding through the steps of the Academy’s staircase, though there isn’t much use to this as nobody is awake at this time of the night, or this early in the morning. This is why he's left the infirmary in the first place. He just needs to be alone. Away from everybody and anybody and maybe the rest of the world. He needs air and he needs space and he needs to thrash around.
He’s about halfway down when he hears her voice.
“Going somewhere?”
He exhales sharply, and then turns to face Aequa, standing at the very top of the staircase. Of course.
Aequa catches Vis in the dead of the night — him feigning for air and maybe something to punch — a week before the students' official graduations from Catenan Academy.

Frankenstein knew what nightmares looked like all too well, and seeing his Master have them was all the more painful. The sound of an anguished whimper cutting through the night seemed to stab a knife into his very chest. This weak, vulnerable side of Raizel— Frankenstein had never seen it before. But he couldn’t wake Raizel up, not when the dying Noblesse needed every moment of rest he could get. Frankenstein closed his eyes tight, his hands starting to shake slightly from agitation.
“Master… shh, please, it’s all right… I’ve got you, I’ll protect you…”
Such reassurances as Frankenstein had hardly spoken before didn’t reach him. Raizel reflexively thrashed so hard one of the blankets ended up on the floor. Frankenstein rushed to pick it back up, trying to gently drape it back over Raizel’s body. Raizel’s chest heaved as he struggled in his dreamscape, each labored breath seeming to twist the knife further into Frankenstein’s chest. “N-No… don’t…”

Raizel has a terrible nightmare after deciding to rest, but Frankenstein is there to comfort him.

He is subject to the world, to everything out there that sought to destroy him, that has destroyed parts of him. Callidus is gone from him, Emissa is practically unrecognizable, and he’s to be working within the Senate, the very thing that he had been running from at the start of this endeavor.
It’s nauseating. Even not fully lucid, Vis knows that there is no going back, not if he wants to make any of this even remotely worth it. The betrayal, the blood, the tears, the lives lost. His head spins with it, sweat prickling at his forehead.
And then Aequa walks in.
Or; In the wake of the Iudicium, Vis spirals. Aequa and Ulciscor come to visit him.

But!
My mind has now gone to what if it's Robert aggressively pursuing Flambae instead?
Our man is not shy in his flirtations; we know this canonically. He looked at Blazer after she saved him and thought to himself, "I can hit this." You can see and hear it in him in their shared bar scene.
