“…No, it just…” Yin Yu stammered, unprepared for that reaction. “Isn’t that a normal way to respond?” He doesn’t think that way, Xie Lian had told him. He scrambled for a better answer, gesturing for Quan Yizhen to sit back down. How did one explain sarcasm to someone like this?

Yin Yu's head pounded with a rhythmic thrum that was starting to cause him to see double. He reached up to rub at his eyes as he struggled to piece anything together — to make even a single thing about this make sense to him.
Quan Yizhen was here, in Paradise Manor, apparently with permission. Things had been shifted around, changed. A new important tenant now also lived here in the form of this other god. And he was no longer held back by a cursed shackle.
He was missing time. He was missing a lot of time.
Hua Cheng met his gaze. “You’re missing about a century’s worth of memories.”
The last thing Yin Yu remembered was researching the Fall of the Banyue Kingdom for Chengzhu. Turns out, that was over a century ago. Now, Yin Yu has to figure out how to navigate this new life without a cursed shackle, with the Heavens completely restructured, and supposedly married to his greatest fear: Quan Yizhen.
