Summary
Dani reached beside her to run a hand through Megan’s tangled hair. The little stiffened under her touch for a moment, her face turning to peek open an eye at the offending hand, but once she realized it was only Daniela, Megan actually leaned into the touch, sighing with relief. Pride bloomed in Dani’s chest, and she hurriedly leaned closer, desperate to finally offer Megan some comfort. Dani gently raked her nails across Megan’s scalp, massaging the tender skin while Lara rubbed small circles on her back in time with her breathing.
“H-hu’ts.”
Dani looked to Lara for translation (caregivers could always understand their littles--though with little Megan’s lispy, impaired toddler speech, Daniela had no clue how she always managed to do it). Even in the room’s low lighting it was easy to make out the sudden alarm on Lara’s face.
“What hurts, baby?”
Oh, hurts. Shit.OR
Megan hates her little side, always pushing herself too hard to stay big. When said pushing combined with chronic pain and a serious lack of sleep results in her biggest slip yet and a total meltdown, her caregiver, Lara, recruits Daniela's help calming down & caring for the little. It goes...surprisingly well.

“There’s no pressure, nothing riding on this. It’s just for me. Sometimes you need something like that. Sometimes you need something that reminds you of life before it was all about saving the world.”
Natasha picked at a clump of clear glue pooling on the wooden structure’s little corner with her fingernail.
“I don’t really want to be reminded of…before.”She hadn’t meant to sound so sad, so vulnerable, so…small as she’d said it, but between her nightmare and Bruce’s intervention, this night was starting to wear her down. Bruce just shrugged.
“Well, hobbies don’t have to be reminders. They can make for great escapes, too.”OR, Natasha discovers that in place of self-destructive tendencies, Bruce is a hobbiest. Specifically, he spends a portion of his time in the lab building miniatures out of popsicle sticks. This bizarre discovery sends her into a total downward spiral, but luckily Wanda is there to help keep her afloat, absolutely dedicated to helping Natasha find a hobby of her own. It proves to be a little more difficult than both girls anticipated, however, and hijinks ensue. Is Nat really a lost cause? Or can an old dog learn new tricks after all?

Summary
The Queen didn’t seem to mind her garden’s odd appearance (though Red often wondered if secretly she did—if secretly she yearned for naturally red roses instead of sickly white, for zinnias and lilies instead of corpse flowers and flytraps) but even by Wonderland standards they were bizarre. They grew at odd angles, leaves with sharp serrated edges even on pathos, and her teddy bear vines were thick with gray fuzz like mold. Where most of the wildflowers that grew in the fields of grass beyond their tower walls were brightly colored like bold dots of color peppering the horizon, the Queen’s garden was all in shades of bilious gray like bruises. Though she was loath to admit it, Red sometimes felt at home there among the shriveled buds; like her and these plants, both equally exposed to the cruel touch of the queen and unwilling products of her creation, were one and the same.
OR,
Red has some pretty intense trauma surrounding her mother's royal garden, evident by the thorn shaped scars marking her every fingertip.
Of course, it would've been great if poor, sweet Chloe had known as much before signing them both up for Horticulture 101.

Summary
It was all smoke and mirrors: red hair dye to cover up pink roots, dark and heavy makeup to make her feared, but beautiful gowns to make her admired; a carefully crafted and beautifully constructed balancing act. Red knew the hot sear of a curling iron since she was old enough (and stupid enough) to toddle into her mother’s boudoir as she got ready for court. Watching her mother carefully flatten her curls, the same ones Red was saddled with, made it obvious as to why Bridget despised Red’s appearance. She reminded her too much of herself when she was young. Which, in turn, made it clear why Red disliked her appearance just as equally--a vicious cycle that was the byproduct of what was quite possibly the only things both mother and daughter could agree upon.
AKA Red discovers that food can be used for much more than punishment. It can also be used for control.
Chloe discovers that Red needs her help, whether she wants it or not.AKA I Evie'd the fuck out of your Red, you're welcome.

Summary
Brittany and Santana move into their first apartment together in NYC as newlyweds. Both women are so excited to start their new lives together, but to help make ends meet, Brittany decides to get a part-time job at the local cafe around the corner. Unfortunately, her employer turns out to be a jerk, who prays on Brittany's greatest insecurities and makes the poor girl cry on her first day.
Of course, Santana isn't about to let that fly.OR, Brittany thinks all her self-worth is determined by how well she can make a coffee with little to no instructions. Santana proves her wrong.
OR, a hurt/comfort ficlet featuring a healthy helping of protective!Santana, insecure Brittany, and lots of domestic fluffiness (and maybe even a little bit of spice?) to make up for all the tears shed.

Mira was a problem child - through and through - a nasty bite and a spiteful tongue. sour, bitter, tart and sharp. barbed wire for skin, bruise of a personality and tainted head that doomed a cycle. cowardice, wishful thinking, try try try…
she was too bitter for them.
her girls were perfect - through and through - a soft kiss and a gentle caress. mild, sweet, subtle and gooey. silk for warmth, twinkling laughter and tender assurance that healed the bloodiest wounds. she'd always loved them, still did, always will, never changing. she'd promised to confess, 7 years ago she'd promised to confess, but the cycle was exact.
she'd never been one for confrontation, a statement only she could testify to with each time she watched their hands intertwine. rearing horns at another bull was easy, but to present tenderness to those even moreso…
they were too sweet for her.
