Meeting up with Booth feels like old times. It’s like they’re still chasing criminals, still chasing Pelant. It’s a good feeling. It helps him momentarily forget the fact that even with all the physical therapy he’s doing, from now on he’ll only ever be a has-been.
He is constantly reminded of this by the superior looks he sometimes gets from the new meat prancing across the bullpen. The only looks worse that he gets are the ones filled with sympathy from colleagues who know how great he used to be. Emphasis on the used to be part.
This may be his only way of proving himself still. They’re setting a trap and hoping a quick fox like Pelant will get his leg stuck in it.

Summary
He’s going forwards and forwards in time. From winter to summer to spring to autumn. People’s styles change and so does the street he’s walking down. He’s building up momentum like he’s about to run.
Then somebody moves in front of him. He, of course, can’t stop himself from bumping into whoever it is that he’s bumping into. He closes his eyes as a reflex from the impact. Before he even has time to open his eyes again and look up at the person he ran into he feels arms wrap around him and a chest press against him.
It takes him a second but after a moment he realizes what’s happening.
He’s being hugged.“Hey five.”says a familiar voice.
He looks up and, even though she’s older and somehow so so different, he recognizes Vanya

Summary
Tim Drake never actually wanted to become part of the Robin-Batman-vigilante outfit. No, really. But the last Robin up and died, and now Batman is going crazy, and no one else is doing anything about it, so...Tim decides to become Robin. He might as well, right? At the very least it'll give him something to do while his parents are gone.
Still, Tim's not taking up the mantle until he can put a couple of things in order. Step one? Making sure the Joker can't get it into his head to kill another Robin. Not ever again. (Good thing Tim's not the one with a 'no killing' rule.)
And then after that? Well, after that it's only just a matter of keeping Batman from learning Tim's identity and subsequently chasing him off. Not until Bruce can get back on his feet and pick a new Robin, a real one this time. Easy-peasy.
