The Kaminoans decide to decant the CC's early in order to more closely monitor their brains' development. They decide to have the Alphas help take care of them since the baby clones need human contact to grow properly. What could possibly go wrong?

It was a tiny mortal thing that had made its way to Her surface and scrabbled at the Dark with greedy little claws, leaving tiny wounds. She ignored it at first, as a hive rat ignores a flea, but—
It kept itching.
Her veins thrummed with life and death and flesh and decay and durasteel. She dragged Herself from Her beloved slumber and let Her mind focus on the spot with the itch until She had its form and its measure and its power clear in Her understanding.
And then She sought what forces were allied against it.
The Light Ones would have been an obvious choice—so close to the itch, even in physical space, and its natural enemy—but they would sense Her manipulations and combat them. Tiresome.
Still, Her chosen antibodies would need at least a bit of that Light in order to succeed.She found them by following the scent of blood.

Summary
Price needs Ghost to lay low and the best he can do is Soap's cottage in the Scottish Highlands. In the quiet solitude, Ghost gives way to Simon as he reminisces about his past and the way The One-Four-One has changed him. The way Soap has changed him. Then one day, he stumbles upon Johnny's old journal.
Just a page or two, Ghost tells himself. Perhaps it'll be amusing to see what young Soap scribbled about. Maybe it'll provide some prime blackmail material he can tease Soap with during their missions.
He couldn't have been more wrong.

“Shepherd just went down, hermano.” Alejandro said from his other side, where he was supporting Rudy. “Someone knifed him, couldn’t tell who.”
“Soap.” Ghost released a breath, blessed relief spreading through his body.
Together, the men stumbled the last stretch, turning around a truck littered with bullet holes, before coming to a halt.
Relief turned to deep dread at the sight that met them. Ghost swore his cold heart managed to stop beating, his body freezing at the gruesome scene.
This takes place during my story "Throwing Knives", but this time it's from Ghost's POV.

Summary
He was used to pretending he was fine even when he wasn't — especially when he wasn't. And Soap used to think that that was just the way things would always be, because he never could figure out how to change.
And then he joined the 141, and for the first time ever, he realized that he'd found somewhere he belonged. Somewhere he felt at home. Somewhere that he didn't have to try to stifle himself, somewhere that people laughed at his jokes and paid attention to him long after most others would've tuned out of his distracted rambling.
(Or, Soap gets told to shut up and has a very bad time.)
