The question startled Gale, who looked up from where he sat cross-legged in front of his tent, organizing his scrolls in preparation for their upcoming “visit” to the goblin camp. He’d given Astarion a wide berth since the revelation of his vampiric condition a few days earlier, so he was surprised to see the pale elf looming over him now, a peculiar expression on his face.
“You know,” Gale offered with a smile, “in my extensive journeys across manifold realms, I do believe that is not a question that I’ve ever been asked before. I honestly can’t decide whether or not I should be offended.”

Of the many side effects Gale has faced as a result of his whole “being physical host to an imminently destructive magical orb” problem, he somehow never anticipated his blood now apparently smelling irresistible to vampires (or at least, one particular vampire) to be one of them.

Summary
The year is 2001. The Fellowship of the Ring is out in theaters, and Steve is being dragged along to the supposed most important day of Dustin's life.
The thing is, Eddie Munson's coming, too, and Steve hasn't spoken to him in nearly six years. Not since misaligned feelings and an ill-timed love confession created a rupture Steve didn't know how to repair.
“We just drifted apart, man. That’s all.”
Dustin sighs dramatically. “Was it because you figured out you liked dudes and freaked out?”
Steve winces. It’s a joke. He can tell by Dustin’s tone, knows he likes to poke fun about Steve’s sexuality after he identified as a self-proclaimed ladies' man for so long, but it’s never come up this way before. Steve could deflect, but something in him shifts and instead he says, “More like because I figured it out too late.”
“Ooooooh,” Dustin breathes, and Steve can all but imagine the lightbulb flashing to life above his head. It makes Steve think of Dustin’s old hat with THINKING CAP on the front. “Oh my god, that makes so much more sense."

“A cheeseburger isn’t some fucking mystical pomegranate, you smirking lunatic.” It isn’t, it just isn’t. Not even close. "You aren't even Greek!" he adds, throwing another wrench which is dodged just as easily.
Loki spreads his hands wide, posing like the showman he is. “I think you’ll find that a pomegranate symbolizes the fruit of the dead. Your cheeseburger, made of dead flesh, was topped with fruit. It’s close enough for the symbolism to bind.”
“Ah-hah! There’s no fucking fruit on a cheeseburger,” Tony says triumphantly, finger pointing accusingly at Loki. “I fucking win, no going back to crazy town with you. I stay here in my workshop, and you fucking leave before I call the Avengers.”
“Oh Stark,” Loki murmurs, almost affectionately. “A tomato is a berry, you ignorant fool.”
