That’s why he let Bruce convince him to go undercover in Spryl and fake his death, that’s why he took all the insults thrown his way by his brothers when he came back alive. That’s why he didn’t contact them or anyone when they didn’t want to after.
Dick Grayson was used to feeling alone, around civilians mostly because of his secret vigilante life. But now, he felt alone everywhere. In the hero community and in his civilian life as a police officer.
That’s why, when he followed a lead to a warehouse and got shot in the back by a mysterious plasma gun. He didn’t press his emergency button. It’s not like anyone would come for him anyway.
