Summary
Jaemin paused, a small, knowing smile tugging at his mouth. “So, what’s going on?”
Donghyuck exhaled slowly, feeling the question settle heavy on his chest. He took another deep breath. “When you and Mark were together,” he began, choosing his words carefully, “did you ever feel like he thought he cared about you more than you cared about him?”
(or: donghyuck is worried he's not doing enough, jaemin is the most supportive ex-boyfriend-turned-best-friend you could think of and mark is just really, really in love with his boyfriend.)

Summary
It was maddening how Donghyuck sometimes yearned to interlace his fingers with Mark’s and whisk him away to someplace peaceful where they could unwind and temporarily forget that Donghyuck and Mark were also Haechan and Mark Lee. Yet, when they stepped onto a stage together, watching each other shine in their element, Donghyuck knew that no other place was more perfect to link his fingers with Mark than a brightly lit stage with thousands of people shouting their names as they took their final bows.
Mark was Donghyuck’s pillar, a presence in his life meant to share loud laughs with on their good days, but also to dry his tears when the pressure proved to be too much.
Witnessing that pillar crack hurt Donghyuck more than he could explain.

Summary
But those times just couldn’t compare to the sight of Mark walking out of the water, struggling not to lose his balance—which he did, making Donghyuck remember that hot or not, Mark Lee was still a dork—and then stepping right in front of Donghyuck with his swimsuit glued to his thighs and his smooth skin right there on display.
For a full minute, Donghyuck felt like a character in a cartoon, blushing so hard and fumbling with his hands so wildly that it would be impossible for anyone in a ten-mile radius not to see just how flustered he was.
Mark definitely noticed. “Dude, are you having a heat stroke?”
Never mind.
(or, a story about mark lee giving donghyuck too many reasons to gay panic in a single day: from running around half naked at the beach, to having the cutest sunburnt cheeks and finally, stealing donghyuck's coziest hoodie.)

Summary
“I’m still a firefighter,” Eddie says adamantly. “That hasn’t changed.”
“But you have,” Buck counters. “You used to be the one who talked sense into me. You were the guy who made me think twice. But since you got back from Texas, you’re the one being stupid and reckless. Running into fires against orders, diving off fifty foot bridges--”
“You know, you’re such a hypocrite,” Eddie steps forward, jabbing an accusatory finger into Buck’s chest. “You would have done exactly the same thing if I hadn’t done it first.”
OR: Buck confronts Eddie about his recent recklesness.

Summary
“So, while we’re stuck in here together…”
Buck freezes.
“...can we talk about it?”
Shit.
“Talk about what?” He keeps his voice casual, light. Hopes that he can feign ignorance and somehow stop whatever’s going to happen. Eddie sees right through that. Obviously.
“Buck.” He nudges Buck’s calf with the toe of his boot. Still doesn’t pull his leg away. Buck’s eyes snap up, like he’s following some unspoken command from Eddie—'look at me.'
“Eddie.” Fine, if Eddie wants to talk, they can, but Buck’s not going to make it easy. Nothing about this is easy. Maybe if he’s annoying enough, he’ll drop it.
“I came out to you three days ago and you ran out of my house.”
or; Buck and Eddie get locked in a safe, which wouldn't be that big of a deal...except Buck's been actively avoiding Eddie. Kinda hard to do that when you're locked in a space together.

Summary
When Camp Half-Blood’s weather wards collapse and a storm barrels in—another casualty of divine drama—Will Solace is the first to warn Nico di Angelo. He catches the flicker of fear Nico tries to hide at the mere mention of lightning and, gentle and awkward, quietly offers to stay with him in Cabin 13 that night. As thunder rattles the windows and old memories resurface, Will would do anything to be Nico’s shelter—even as he fumbles through his own unspoken feelings.
One storm, two boys, and a night that makes everything impossible to hide.

Summary
Nico di Angelo survives a day of training younger campers—which is to say, he narrowly escapes death by tween with a broadsword and collapses into bed like a Victorian widow. He’s sore, bruised, and halfway to fusing with the mattress when Will Solace shows up, armed with a jar of herbal salve and the world’s most aggravatingly competent hands.
Will offers to heal him with magic. Nico, stubborn and ridiculous, says no. So Will settles for a massage—just his hands, no powers, no loopholes—and somehow that’s worse. Or better. Depending on who’s asking.

Summary
“We should make it a road trip, Eddie! We never hang out anymore, Eddie! It’ll be so fun, Eddie!” Eddie mimics, his voice trailing as he disappears into the tiny bathroom connected to their Budget Queen motel room.
“We’re not stranded,” Buck scoffs. “And you weren’t saying that when you were stuffing your face with the tamales that I found, or the cherry pie that I read about.”
Or, there was only one bed. And a lot of bickering.
