When her parents wanted to start looking at prestigious secondary schools, the secretary they’d all gone to meet with acted as if Mr. and Mrs. Granger were children themselves. That woman had simply insisted their school carried a strict no tolerance policy towards bullying, with no additional comments. In contrast, the Department man first walked them through getting in touch with the Muggleborn Student Liaison at Hogwarts, and then the Muggle Relations and Complaints Office at the Ministry, if something more serious came up, and finally his very own business card with contact information, for the most extreme emergencies.
“Oh!” Hermione’s mother gasped when she saw the gilded print. “Oh my goodness- when you said, your department, why- I didn’t realize-”

Dobby’s story has enough holes you could fly a Quidditch team through it.
