the massive hype around this fic had me nervous - how could anything live up to all the fanart and posts and tears flooding my various feeds? well color me impressed! it exceeded my expectations by a mile. this is a really sweet fic at its core (to me at least) and the tension and excitement keep you guessing as this pair of idiots circles ever closer, inevitably. it’s also stunningly canon compliant! not sure how you balanced that all things considered, but you did. i love the way that smilk’s various disguises are personified as well. i wonder if one day lady milk crown will come to accept the imperfect perfection of the life shadow milk has carved out for himself? actually, she might just pop out to slap clotted cream haha.

this has got to be one of my favorite fics ever. it's got great characterization, and if things had gone this way in canon, this really is how I would see it all playing out, dialogue included. some of the best jin zixuan interactions I've read as well, always fun to see some appreciation for him. also acknowledging wwx's genius, there's never enough of that imo.
also I have to say - this is one of my favorite character studies of wwx, not just from his pov, but from the pov's of the other characters, jyl, lwj, and jzx especially. It also addresses the inherent toxicity of the ymj dynamic, although jfm got off a little light imho. wwx is just so casually heartbreaking in thinking that he has no ownership over his existence and he's just Fine with that because he doesn't know that it's not fine and it's really interesting to see other characters begin to see that, especially since that (specifically, really) caused so many misunderstandings in canon. -

can't believe this is being added to ao3! one of my favorites on ffn, it's a classic hp fic and honestly one of the best aus and character studies I've seen. loved this from start to finish.
draco's character is so interesting in this series, and it does lean hard into its au status but at the same time, a lot of draco's motivations feel very true to canon. his relationship with bill is honestly so wholesome and I love them together, like let's get this kid some good parental figures in his life because he is *missing o u t*. draco's struggles feel really real as well, and his attitude is honestly delightful and makes for a snappy, engaging read. when he finally stops holding back you can't help but cheer for him and watching his character develop is riveting. the quidditch pitch scene lives in my mind rent free. -

25/ i love this fic and the characterization so much. there's so much diversity and love poured into every interaction and scene and it's a genuine joy to see this fic update. love it so so much and I've adopted a lot of it into my personal canon
one of the things I love about this fic is how much detail shana puts into the development of every character. they're so well rounded and their voices are so distinct and even though this is a drarry story through and through, you really get invested in every character and their respective arcs. cho (eunha) chang? love her. quinn? amazing. fleur? stunning. fred and his romance with (spoiler)? incredible.
also op says 'surprising lack of focus on soulmates for a soulmate au' but honestly it feels like the perfect amount. like if soulmates were real, I think this would be how people behaved, it feels very organic and I love all the different perspectives on soulmate bonds from everyone.
also can't wait for more wolfstar plus drarry interactions because they always turn out fucking hilarious. loving the new remus + draco understanding to the absolute confusion of sirius + harry, it's iconic.
also I volunteer as tribute as zaira's next spouse. I'm not rich enough for her but i love her anyways.
