What came next made Mike gasp. Something soft and fuzzy replaced Will’s touch on his wrist, tickling his skin.
“Oh.”
Will smirked, dragging whatever that thing was towards the crook of Mike’s elbow. “You like that?”
“Y-yeah,” Mike’s eyes fell shut beneath the blindfold. “It’s soft. A bit ticklish, though.”
Will pulled back, humming. The sheets rustled somewhere to Mike’s right. Then the softness returned — more pointed now.
“Better?” Will asked, tracing Mike’s collarbone.
Mike whimpered. “What is it?”
“Guess.”
The sensation travelled lower, circling one of his nipples. Mike’s jaw tightened from the effort it took to stay in place. “A feather?”
“Hm, close enough,” Will said, moving to the other nipple. “It’s a brush. One of those fancy ones you’ve gotten me for Christmas.”
“Fuck.”

It always stops just as Charlie starts to lose himself in Nick’s touch and thinks that maybe—just maybe—today will be the day they take things further. So far, that’s never happened, and Charlie truly would have been okay with it if it wasn’t so fucking confusing.
Because why is Nick always dragging them straight to that tender, invisible line if he doesn’t want to cross it? Why does his breath catch in his throat when Charlie nips at that delicate spot right beneath his jaw? Summary
As much of a mystery as Mike was, Will had come to understand at least one thing. Mike needed to be needed.
Will felt like a lightbulb had gone off in his head when he’d come to the realisation.
The dealing, the sex, the taunting texts – it all made sense. People came to Mike to get what they needed, whether that be drugs, an orgasm, or the last word in a fiery exchange.
The goading messages were a test, Will had decided – a constant push and pull, Mike seeing whether Will would come back and defend himself against his harsh words.
In a way, Will was no better than the people traipsing Mike’s door at all hours of the night. He did need something from Mike, just the same as everyone else.Or:

Will splutters. “Say what?”
“Like we’re what, Will? Say it. Why do I make your boyfriend so nervous?”
“You’re being a jerk.” He looks down and picks at a loose thread on his sweater.
Mike is being a jerk, but he’s just tired. And Will is here in Mike’s car in the middle of nowhere, protected by the growing darkness of the evening, and goddamnit, Mike wants to hear him say it. He wants to hear Will say Mike isn’t better.

Richie Tozier knew he liked Will Byers since he was seven years old, and in the Summer of 1985, he finally got the chance to shoot his shot, much to Mike Wheeler's annoyance. The two then fell in love and maintained a secret summer romance, which, for unexplained reasons, ended when Will moved to California. Then, a few years later, when by chance they end up roommates at NYU, it forces them both to confront their pasts, both individually and together. As they get to know each other again and slowly piece together their past, they determine whether or not their first love ever really ended.
