Summary
You went to bed early tonight.
Well, earlier than you typically do. Not that Astarion has been paying you much attention. Hardly any, really. You’re just easy to miss.
Notice. You’re easy to notice. Because you’re so obvious.
Obviously annoying, obviously infuriating, obviously determined, and obviously infatuated with him. True, that had been his goal, but hells, you could blush a little less at his come-ons. Even if it does look cute on you.
***
Astarion decides to check up on you and finds you... preoccupied. He takes the situation into (his own) hand.

Summary
Rook pushed the bumbling crows aside and stepped inside the Opera Hall. Eyes were upon them now, too many; even if Rook wasn’t dressed in anything giving away her title of the First Warden, most would know who she was already.
“I’m here because I missed you,” she said simply.
A pool of warmth opened where his heart was. Rook was often much more direct with words than he — a sentiment that could prove fatal.
“You were the one that left,” he said.
“And now I’m the one that’s here again.” She stretched her arm out towards him, still far enough that he would need to make a few steps to take her hand. “So will you come with me?”
Rook visits Lucanis several months after they break up, offering to reconcile.
Placed in the series for chronology. Can be read as standalone.

Summary
Lucanis had waited for a chance at his freedom, but now that he's out he's chained by his responsibilities, family, and his personal demon. Rook wasn't prepared to become the leader; in fact it was very low on her priority list.
Both have been playing with powers, greater and ancient than they ever intended.
Dealings with the Fade and Powerful Entities leave stains on your soul that cannot be banished and made all the heavier and more vulnerable by the burdens that threaten to drown them.
For Rook and Lucanis, the line between the Fade and Reality blurs, multiple powers vie for control over their souls and bodies. In finding each other, they may find the path to remaining themselves.Title from I Carrion (Hozier)

Summary
He pushed the door open, spotting Rook before she did him. Rook was sat against the frame of their bed, her hair loose and down, a book in her lap. Her head jerked up when he stepped inside, eye momentarily alert and then softened by the recognition it was him, a smile lighting up her face like a beam of a rising sun.
“Good evening, love,” she greeted.
Night, he thought to correct. The hour was late, way past midnight, and the day she came had already crossed into the day she would be leaving.
In the months following Elgar’nan’s defeat, Lucanis and Rook spend less time together, kept apart by their duty to the Crows and Grey Wardens respectively. Even still, they manage to steal a moment only for themselves.
