“Nagi,” Reo says slowly. “I rented out the entire amusement park for today. You’re… really not going on anything?”
“—I mean, god, Kaoru, is it so bad that I went on one date?”
Reo looks good. It’s not the first time Nagi’s thought so, but it is the first time since Nagi had stumbled through an awkward, impromptu confession, and so it feels like the first time Nagi’s allowed to think so. In fact, he might be allowed to say it to Reo himself, now.
Kaoru looks vaguely annoyed at having to repeat himself. “I need you to date me. Well,” he amends, “to be more specific, to fake date me.”
“I’m nervous,” Reo says, apropos of nothing. He lets out a shaky laugh. “I don’t think I’ve said that out loud yet. But I am, you know.”
