“I’m not that young, sir,” Whitaker mumbled, tapping ash like it was muscle memory. “And it’s not a new habit. Been smoking since I snuck a pack of Newports from my brother’s stash when I was thirteen.”
“How old are you now?”
Whitaker turned to look him in the eye as he took a long drag. “Twenty six," he said like a question.
Robby’s gaze was fixated on the point where Whitaker’s lips wrapped around the filter of the cigarette. Huh. He was right. Twenty six wasn't that young.
Robby finds out Whitaker smokes, and why, then crosses several professional boundaries in his pursuit to take care of the younger man.

With that, Thomas grasps onto the blonde hair at the back of his friend’s head, lifts him up, and swiftly brings his hand back down. Newt’s skull smashes against the ground with a sickening wet crunch. His body goes still under Thomas.
