The light also reached the man’s face, leaving Lance stunned as he blinked blearily. Perhaps he really was in heaven. Or purgatory, if the cold seeming to swallow his body was an indicator. The man had a prominent scar over his nose, and the backs of his hands betrayed more jagged lines that reminded Lance of the lightning striking across the sky outside. His features were sharp and his jaw was defined, eyes the color of the storm clouds above them and a strange hairstyle that looked like something a royal guard might have, if not for the tuft of white hanging over his forehead. This was the face of the man who saved Lance. Regardless of if I’m dead or not, Lance’s mind supplied, being cold while in an angel’s company doesn’t seem like the worst way to pay for my wrongdoings.

Summary
It could be a nightmare, or it could just be a normal dream that had not been everything he hoped it would. The hands would then hold Keith’s in a firm, warm, and steady grip, and lead him away from his own thoughts and into someone else’s world. This world was full of all kinds of things, from mermaids and fairies to fire-breathing dragons and sentient sea water trying to drown him. These dreams quickly became preferable to his own, and by age nine he had already figured out two things.
One: as long as he held onto the hands, he would never be harmed, and there was no need to be scared. Two: the mysterious hands were the closest thing he had ever had to a family.

“It was rather lonely,” she replied, pulling back just far enough to turn her head and give Hunk a kiss on the cheek. Hunk chuckled as he loosened his grip, but he didn’t let go.

"Um, guys? A little help?" Lance asked, struggling to get out of the tractor beam's grip, resorting to pressing every button on Blue’s control panel in an attempt to bullshit his way out when his calculated attempts got him nowhere.
"Keith, you take the bottom two floors, Pidge cover the next two, Hunk get the top two floors, and Lance and I will each take one in the middle." Shiro continued, seemingly ignoring Lance's call for help.
"Shiro? Allura? Keith? Can someone help me? I'm being sucked into the planet. You know, the one you said we should avoid? Hello? Anyone?"
There was no reply this time, and Lance cursed under his breath as the door to the castle slowly grew farther and farther away. Lance slumped back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest.
"'Come to this creepy ass planet,' they said. 'I promise you won't die,' they said," Lance mocked, sticking his tongue out at the empty space around him. "I hope my death haunts them for years."

A piece of paper fell from where it had stuck to his phone and he picked it up with a frown. It was a business card. Oh, right. That guy in the expensive suit and fancy car had given it to him… so he could… repay him… Huh. That sounded a little too good to be true. Maybe he’d dreamt up the handsome stranger? But the solid proof of the card in his hand proved otherwise. He was still staring at the business card in disbelief when Hunk finally opened the door, walking in with a weary smile.
“Lance, you’re early. Did you get dinner already?” Hunk called out in pleasant surprise, even as his mouth twisted at the mess around the couch.
Lance tore his eyes away from the card, still thinking about the guy from earlier, “No, but I think I got a sugar daddy?”
