He took a deep breath. “I’m sorry Simon. I just — I want to give this a shot.” He looked down at his hands. “And isn’t that life? You take risks and hope it’ll work, and if it does, then it’s a damn near miracle?”
He looked up to see a strange expression on Simon’s face, and for a fleeting moment he wondered if he had made a grave mistake.

“It’s cold as fuck out here.”
Without turning around, he smiled at the voice. “Then why did you come outside?”
Someone moved into his peripheral vision. “Because I couldn’t find you and wanted to see you.”
What a typical statement from him, candid and without guile. Simon’s gut clenched.
“Well, now you see me.” And Simon turned and faced Wille.
Short, spiky blond hair. Black cuff on one ear. Shiny white button down over wide shoulders that had gotten even wider in the last few years, and dark jeans on long endless legs. Tall and handsome and the kindest person on earth.
Why did it have to be him?
Or, Wilmon finally bang after ten years, and make up for lost time in quick order ... but not without some heartache first.

Summary
I discovered Young Royals this summer and fell in love. I think the ending is perfect for the show, allowing for both closure and enough openness to be fertile ground for the fandom's imagination.
HOWEVER. After cogitating on it for a few weeks and reading a LOT of fanfic, I realised that in order for me to buy any kind of canon compliant happy ending for Wilmon, I needed to see much more character growth, development, and conversation happening. Hence these stories. Hope you enjoy!

“What are you doing here Wille?” The cabinet door slams closed and they both jump at the sound. He winces, setting down the mug with slightly shaking hands.
“Let’s try this again.” Simon closes his eyes to rub at his temple in frustration. He tries to school his voice and expression into something calmer and more nonchalant than he feels; “What are you doing in front of my home without any kind of warning? It’s been nearly three years, Wille. You understand that you can’t just do that, right?”
OR
Simon is at a turning point in his new fast paced life in the city of London. He’s finally landed a major breakout role onstage, in the West End revival of the musical Spring Awakening. It seems as though all of his stars are finally aligning.
Things take a turn when Wilhelm, who still lives in Stockholm and now works as a fashion designer after giving up his title, shows up out of the blue with a request that leaves him feeling blindsided and unmoored.
The past and the present find themselves tangled together as they are forced to confront their past mistakes, their lingering feelings toward one another and the secrets of their relationship which still keep them tied together.

Summary
It's been 7 months since Wille and Simon drove away from Hillerska and towards their shared future. Wille deciding to renounce his title at 18 didn't solve all of their problems, but they had built a much more stable and healthy relationship once they were free from the weight of the crown.
Even being long distance, they managed to disgust their friends daily being sickeningly in love. Wille says he can take the teasing - they earned the right to be That Annoying Couple after everything they went through in their first year.
Year 2 is going great though. They have good friends, like their schools, and their relationship is solid. They even have plans to go to university together once they graduate.
They should have known things were going too well. When a bombshell article rocks Sweden just after Christmas, everyone's world turns upside down.
The Royal Court is exposed. The people are revolting. And Wille and Simon don't know what to do, but at least they'll do it together, right?
Can be read as a standalone fic. Parts 1 and 3 of the series are supplemental social media posts that fill in plot points and are just for fun.
