Seungmin hasn’t presented yet.
It's weird, all things considered, to be in his mid-twenties with no designation, especially already being in a pack (well, unofficially. It couldn’t be official until he presented, but that's really just semantics if you ask Seungmin or the rest of the pack). His doctors aren't worried, though. Every check-up ends with him receiving a clear bill of health and reassurances that he's just a late bloomer and that there's nothing wrong with that. Both of his parents were late bloomers, too—though not ‘well-into-their-twenties’ late bloomers—so it's likely influenced by genetics, as well. His body would present when it's ready.
Needless to say, everyone's more than ready and excited for Seungmin to present, and everyone is fully expecting Seungmin to be an omega, including him.

“Your hair is so fluffy and cute, it makes you look even more like a puppy than normal! Like you have little ears, Seungmin. You’re going to make everyone fall in love with you more, and that’s just unfair to the rest of us. We don’t stand a chance when Kim Seungmin looks all pretty like this!” Jisung continues on his rampage.
Seungmin’s face burned an even deeper red, and he stuttered over whatever he was attempting to say. He tries to act nonchalant as he grabs an abandoned padded jacket from the armrest of the couch and pulls it into his lap, but Jisung catches it immediately. His eyes zero in on the movement, and Seungmin flounders. “Sh-shut up.” He chokes out, voice unnaturally pitched up and squeaky.
Well, that’s interesting.
Seungmin gets off to Jisung saying nice things to him.

“Mornin’,” The cashier drawls, voice light and airy, “Don’t think I’ve seen you around here before.”
Seungmin risks glancing up. He immediately regrets it.
The man standing behind the register is so beautiful, Seungmin loses all of the air in his lungs. His skin is flawless, crystal-clear and glowing even under the dingy store lighting. His dark hair falls effortlessly messy on his forehead, framing dark, sharp eyes. Red lips open around bright white teeth as he pops the gum in his mouth, his jawline and bone structure making him look statuesque. Seungmin is stuck, feet glued to the dirty, off-white tile beneath his feet; the cashier gives him an obvious, cheesy once-over. Seungmin’s cheeks heat up as he follows the way the man’s eyes drag down his neck, chest and settle on his waist.
“Yeah… definitely haven’t seen you around before.” The cashier’s gaze meets Seungmin’s again, his mouth contorts into a greasy smirk.

Seungmin's grandmother leaves her house to him when she passes away, Seungmin decides to move in despite the fact that the town she lived in always gave him the heebie-jeebies. He may regret it.

"I could top!" He defends sharply, "I could! Just. Neither of you have ever asked."
Minho rubs Seungmin's lower back placatingly, like Seungmin was a toddler throwing a tantrum, "Babe, it's okay, really! Jisung and I are more than happy with our sex life as it is, you don't have to top just because you think it's what we want."
Jisung nods enthusiastically, patting his stomach in a way Seungmin assumes is meant to be comforting. It does nothing but fuel the fire building in his gut; makes him feel smaller, silly, dumb.
Seungmin sputters a little, "I just--I could top either of you if I wanted to." A pout graces his face as he folds his arms across his chest, lying through his teeth. "It can't be that hard."
Something dark flickers in Minho's eyes.

Summary
Seungmin is usually in his own world when he’s working. Even when he’s not on the clock, he’s always thinking about improving, solving, or fixing problems no one even realizes they have. Getting calls day and night is exhausting, and no one else can do what he does.
He’s tired and that’s why it takes too long to notice he has a shadow in Minho. Even longer to see that he’s not as calm and aloof as he usually is, but on alert and much more aggressive. It’s not the bolstering kind; it’s more silent and deadly. He sharpens his knives constantly and blocks Seungmin during their walks to the mess from his lab. Always keeping Seungmin between him and the wall.
Seungmin doesn’t notice it right away. He is always more focused on tablets, computers, formulas, and equations. He doesn’t see that Minho doesn’t just happen upon him but is guarding him. Truthfully, he doesn’t figure it out at all, Jisung has to tell him.

It was too soon. He wasn’t supposed to go into heat.
Seungmin squeezed his eyes shut and tried to will it away. Not now. Not tonight. Not while Felix was already deep into his own heat. He didn’t want to be the reason everything shifted. Everyone was already doing so much. They were already taking care of someone. Felix needed them more than he did.
If he took the suppressants now, his heat might not hit fully. He could go to work tomorrow, get through the week, and no one would ever have to know. It was the right thing to do.
It was an easy choice to make.
