Summary
Five years have passed since the end of the Hundred Year War. Five years that Sokka was able to go about his days without having to plan any elaborate strategies or worry about his friends potentially dying each time they went out. Five years where everything finally seemed to be okay.
Despite his varyingly terrible chronic pain and sporadically suffering mental health, Sokka was satisfied with his life at the Southern Water Tribe. Alongside his budding relationship with the Fire Lord, he was just happy to be living in a world of peace after being forced to grow up in a war.
If only that peace could've lasted forever.

Summary
Lance returns to Keith’s bag, sets himself slowly to his knees as he opens the main compartment. He starts talking about something, laughing, but Keith doesn’t register what he says as his sleeve slips slightly over the smooth arc of his shoulder. Keith can’t help the groan that escapes him.
“Lance,” he says, pleads, and Lance stops his cheery little story. In the silence, Keith takes in how ruffled and open Lance has become, no doubt due to the alcohol. He’s a little breathless, cheeks and shoulders flushed a deep pink, and Keith lets out a long, drawn out sigh. “You’re killing me.”
Lance stiffens slightly. He looks up, meets Keith’s gaze. He’s wearing the same expression he always does when he’s confused—the pinched brows, the small jut of his lower lip as he pouts. Lance doesn’t even know he does it, and to Keith, that makes it all the more endearing.
“What do you mean?” he asks quietly.
“Killing me,” Keith whispers, rests his head in his hands.

Keith opened his mouth to reply, but wasn’t even given a fighting chance.Lance feels like an idiot. He knows it's time for a change; time to work harder and stop acting like a child. He's a paladin of Voltron. He's supposed to protect people! He doesn't care what happens to him - no one else gets hurt. Never again.
Fic based just after the end of season 5 in which Lance is forced to confront his mistakes and it leads him down a very dark path. Unwilling to accept how dangerous his actions are becoming, it's left up to his team-mates and a certain Blade of Marmora member to find the root of his problems and try to bring him back from the edge.We worked so hard on this. I promise our writing is better than our summary. Please give it a go!

But then the workouts got more frequent. The sneaky looks at calories turned into one big note on his phone containing a list of how much he’d eaten each day. The weigh-ins went from every now and then to weekly to daily. The scale ended up right back where it was just last year and it hurt to see just how well it fit into its designated spot.
The lists got shorter. The runs got longer. The numbers kept dropping. His mind was numb and by the time Lance had noticed and asked him to meet up, all Keith could do was ignore what all of this meant when really, he knew all along. He just didn’t have the balls to admit it to himself.
