Summary
When two souls are destined to be together, they are connected by an invisible thread. No matter the time, place, or situation, this thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break - The Red Thread of Fate
Nora Feyre, a 47-year old math teacher from Cleveland, didn't understand how she had ended up in this crazy place, fighting for her life alongside a fantasy realm's most endearing and fucked-up rejects. But it didn't matter. She'd do what she always had, no matter what life had thrown at her, and rise above it. After all, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?
Astarion Ancunin, a 239-year-old vampire spawn from Baldur's Gate, couldn't believe his good fortune. Sure, there was a worm in his brain that might turn him into yet a new kind of monster. But it hadn't. Not yet. And in the meantime, he was free in a way he'd scarcely dreamed was possible, snatched from his Master just as he had lost the last bit of fight that was left in him.
Two survivors, kindred spirits, thrown together by accident -
Or was it?
Note: This is a rewrite of my first fanfic - Threadbare - which has now been renamed Threadbare, Draft 1.

Summary
It's March of 2020. With the pandemic locking down people all over the world, Astarion Ancunin has a problem. It's awfully hard to charm people into sharing a bite when you can't get within six feet of a stranger. Luckily, he's thought of a solution - hire a live-in blood donor.
Things are going swimmingly. He does a few interviews and finds a perfectly suitable candidate. And then she walks through his door.

Summary
When you lose everything - your lover, your love, your friends, your home, your very identity - how do you even start to rebuild a life?
He’d been hiding since the funeral. But after a tenday, he couldn’t stay away any longer.
The headstone was rough against his thumb as he rubbed his fingers over the letters of her name absently, wishing it was her skin he could trace, longing for her heat and sweat and violence. This cold silence was everything she wasn’t.
“What am I supposed to do now, love?” He whispered into the dark, knowing there’d be no response, still hoping despite himself.
This is a follow-up to Taters, from Astarion's POV.

Summary
Tavvika is barely functioning after something happened to her brain - and she's pretty sure that it wasn't the tadpole insertion less than a tenday ago. Her thoughts are scrambled on a good day, and every time she tries to speak, her head aches. Not to mention, she can't remember anything before she woke up on that nautiloid.
Who is she? Why is she like this? What do all these scars mean? Why does she daydream about blood and know so much about the various qualities of gore?
She really had enough on her plate before the vampire decided to pick her for an evening snack. She's still not sure why she said yes. He did look hungry. And he was incredibly useful.....
And now? Now he's mad at her.

Summary
Cazador Szarr made a terrible miscalculation, and had gotten the attention of a God.
Ailionora Lathanyll, Earth-born daughter of Corellon Larethian, knew that she had been created to free a man from enslavement to a great evil, but in the sixteen years since her father had found her and brought her home, she had received no further information.
Even now, as she embarked on the quest, she only had one clue. She was to go to Baldur's Gate, and find Jaheira.
-If you've read Threadbare, you may have wondered, what was Corellon's original plan if he'd gotten back to Earth when he'd meant to. Well, here it is.

Summary
Astarion is given a chance to escape Cazador's clutches. The catch? He is being sent on a one-way ticket to Earth, with no memory of how he got there.
No tadpoles, no tadpole gang, no BG3 canon events. He leaves the night before the Nautiloid came.
A tale in which Astarion learns how to be an adult, gets the therapy he deserves, and helps the love of his life and himself avoid being caught by the FBI.
This includes my OC from my other BG3 fic, Threadbare, starting in the second chapter of the fic, if Nora never left Earth.

Summary
Note: This story is now on permanent hiatus.
I am rewriting and reposting it under the original name, Threadbare.
Read it hereNora Feyre was a middle-aged math teacher with a sketchy past, questions about her identity, and an unhealthy enjoyment of killing.
Astarion was a vampire spawn who thirsted for blood, freedom, and revenge on his cruel master.
When a Mindflayer ship kidnaps them and drops them into a fight for survival, neither wants to catch feelings for anyone, let alone for each other. Even long after these two idiots had already fallen in love, it takes all of Karlach's best efforts to keep them from fucking it up.
A slow burn, canon-respectful but divergent retelling of the main plot of BG3. Emphasis on divergent.

Summary
The Vampire Ascendant has been on Earth for 182 years since Gale's teleport spell went awry and tossed him across the planes.
He's built riches. A business empire. While he may not be titled, he's earned a place in high society, despite his eccentricities. Created a life, of sorts, for himself. Dabbles in trysts from time to time, but he's never found anyone who sparked something deeper.
And then he read a little book of poems. Self-published. Utterly indecent and cheeky.
Of course, he had to go and meet the author.

Summary
When Gale finds out that Astarion has never had a birthday party, he decides that not only is he going to make it the best, most perfect party ever, he's going to do it as surprise. Because spending all the money you managed to gather on your quest is a totally normal thing to do for a man who is just your very good friend.

Following meeting with Raven's group, Nora realizes she's going to be tied up on the material plane for a while. She decides to pay her consort, Lord Kelemvor, a visit while she still can in his home in the Crystal Spire on the Fugue Plane.

Summary
“Thirty-six days. I was blessed to be by your side for thirty-six days before that bitch backstabbed you in the dark.” - Astarion to Tav
I wrote a post-canon reverse isekai fic called A Striking Resemblance that features this line.
This is the novelization of the canon events that proceeded that fic.I must stress if the tags don't do it enough, this is not a happy story. Multiple main characters die horribly. Others simply end up their most horrible selves. Faerun gets a happy ending, but the tadfools do not.
